Default Is Lebron the best in the East

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...ons/index.html

I really thought that Ronnie was going to take that mantle this year. A rare combination of offense and defense. Offensively, Ron's recent numbers are about the same as Lebrons (while playing on a better team), and his defense is far superior. Too bad that's not a discussion many people will be having!

I think LeBron might be the best in the NBA right now.

At least he thinks he is.

Yeah he's pretty good. But best in the NBA is Timmy Duncan.

Tim Duncan and KG are SFs?
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Well, one could argue KG is a small forward...but I don't like the argument.

I was just saying - if we are talking about MVP's in this league...in my opinion, it's still KG.

SF? heck you could make the arguement that Kg is naturally a PG. As for current mvp contender go it seems like Kg, Duncan are always there but now you got Stoudamire, Lebron, Ray Allen, Wade, Shaq, Nash, and Dirk in the hunt as well.

I didn't say who is the overall MVP of the league. I said who might be at this point in the season.
Too early to declare MVP's...doesn't really matter at this point. But if we had to, I would probably agree.

But come the end of the season, it's going straight to KG.

    MVP Right now - Duncan

MVP end of season - Duncan

MVP any day of the week - Duncan

He is the best player in the world.

If KG doesn't count. I would put Marion ahead of James.

I think Marion is a better defender than James at this point. Of course, James has better passing. But as a SF, I think Marion brought more dimensions in the SF position than James does. (Although Marion is currently playing PF)

I Marion. Outside of the Pacers, he is probably one of my favourite players. Athletic kid, great work ethic, well-rounded game...I would take him on the Pacers any day.

But to put him over James at this point is too much. If we were to replace Lebron with Marion and see what happened, I don't think the Cavs would have the same record at this point in the season.

Well, on the other hand, I wouldn't think the Sun would do as well as they do if they have James instead of Marion. They both fit-in well in their team. The swapping example bewteen the lack-true-pointguard Cavs and under-size Sun wouldn't work very well. But let say if there is a complele team in every positions except SF, I think Marion would make the team better than James.

The Suns would be the best team in the NBA by far with LeBron instead of Marion. Nash, LeBron and Amare would tear through the league.

Lebron is arguably the best in the East right now, but the season is very young, and I'd take Dwayne Wade.

As for the NBA, the West is loaded. Novitzki, Garnett, Duncan, Ray Allen, are all having better seasons. Garnett is a step above.

Look for other veterans like TMac begin to pick it up (kind of impossible to think that he won't after 13 points in 35 seconds).

Nah, Ron is better than Lebron for now. Especially Defensively, I really like Lebron though, and he is one of the few players I wouldn't mind seeing in place of Ron the bad spelling warier.
