    Scott Agness ‏@ScottAgness
Now past the 5 PM deadline, Ben Hansbrough's contract with the Pacers is fully guaranteed through the end of the year.

I know nobody wishes harm to anybody but you have to wonder if Ben didn't get a little bit of relief when Sam sprained that ankle. I have a feeling Sam probably wasn't the one getting cut in the original plan.

Either way good for Ben. Honestly I'm normally not one of those guys who falls for the "touching story" but for some reason I'll be honest I kind of want Ben & Tyler to succeed the rest of this season.

I agree! It's a good story, and it's not like we could replace Ben with someone who would make a lot of difference.

He's a decent third point guard. There are some who'd be better than him, sure, but there are also some who would be worse. If you have to depend on a third point guard for big minutes often your team is in a pretty bad way anyway lol.

I am pretty sure his contract is non-guaranteed to the 10th, not the 7th...Wonder where Agness got his info?

Never mind, it is the 10th but it is to ensure the player clears waivers in time, thus making it today at 5:00.

I like Benny, but Travis Diener was better, right?

I don't mind him on the roster, but he just doesn't have the ball handling to ever be on the court in a real pressure situation.

Still. Can do worse than him for a short breather stretch of the second quarter or something.

Not a suprise. He has a min contract and we have no cover at that position at least until Danny gets back and Lance can play some spot minutes there.
If he can improve his ball handling he should get another contract somewhere in the NBA.

I enjoy the story of 2 brothers living out their childhood dreams and being able to play on the same team n the nba. Aside from that, there is very little that I like about Ben Hansbrough, and only slightly more that I like about Tyler these days.

The most positive trait Ben has is that he's firery and is a great cheerleader from the bench. I like my cheerleaders to look more like this, and not take up a roster spot...

He strikes me as a poor man's Sarunas Jasikevicius - with the weak handle and erratic shot. Not as obnoxious, though.

I'd have to think Kemo would think so. To be honest, I'd probably take Diener over Ben. I don't see Diener in the NBA now, so where is he? Europe? China?
