    The Bourne Supremacy

Pretty good action movie. The handheld camera shakiness was slightly distracting after a while, but enough enough to really, really bother me.

The movie is nothing like the book. I mean pretty much absolutely nothing. But the first one diverged signficantly anyway, so I supposed that's fine.

BTW: The Bourne Identity is a really, really good book. One of my favorites and highly recommended.

    Waynes World
    Rocky II
    AC/DC Live at Donnington

I watched Waynes World with my 9-year old son. It is funny to watch him banging his head to Bohemian Rhapsody.

Rocky II and the AC/DC video I watch when I'm on the treadmill. Good stuff to give you a bit of adrenaline when working out. It's funny, I forgot how quickly the whole "Rocky's bad eye" thing gets dropped like a hot potato. Here he is labled "damaged goods" b/c of his bad eye, and we never hear about it in the following movies.

    Poetic license I suppose...

    Hoosiers 2 Disc Set
Watched all of Disc 2 deleted scenes and documentary.
Watched movie with commentary track turned on.

    FWIW... snippets...
Jack Nicholson was almost Coach Dale
Disc 2 has the deleted scene that explains Buddy's return to the team

The movie is now 16:9 and looks very good on this DVD compared to the original. Colors and lighting are richer.
I'm not sure if 16:9 is OAR or not... I bet not but I'm not sure. Better than the pan and scan or windowed version (on widescreen tvs) of the old disc.

Reggie Miller and Rick Carlisle are interviewed in the documentary. So is Coach Keady (Purdue).... and Bobby Plump.

They never explain who made the mistake and hung all the American flags backwards with the stars in the right field.

"The Woodsman" with Kevin Bacon about a convicted paedofile who has served his time and tries to start a new life. Not an easy movie at all, but definitely worthwhile seeying.

Anyone see "The Assassination of Richard Nixon" with Sean Penn yet? I don't know why specifically, but I saw the trailer some time ago and I feel like I really want to see this movie. Could be because of the trailer, which I thought was great or maybe Penn, who'm I think is one of the best actors around currently.

So, could anyone share their opinion on this movie?

At the IU-Northwestern game Sat. the director, writer, a few of the actors(players) and Bobby Plump were autographing copies of the dvd. They were also introduced at halftime.

The lines were huge so I didn't bother.

Have you watched any of the Milan-Muncie Central game?

Yes. I'd seen it on video tape already. Had Ray Craft not blown a layup Bobby Plump's shot would've been unneccessary. If I recall correctly Milan had the ball and a 2 point lead with time running down. Craft's blown layup would've given them a 4 point lead.

But Craft did miss it, Muncie did get the rebound and score... and the rest is Indiana basketball history.

It's not really like Milan was just hanging close hoping for a last second shot. If anything, Muncie was the team trying to hang close tho Milan did take some air out of the ball.

Interesting seeing the game and the way it was played back then. Officials getting respect. Ball back in play soon after a whistle (or FT's shot without delay).

The pace of the game was actually QUICKER.

Do you have to have a membership at Movie Gallery or could anyone buy four for the price of two?

Just watched City of God. I dont know why its taking me this long to go rent it, i've wanted to see it since it came out but just never got around to it. It was well worth the wait, terrific story (which is a true story btw), acting, everything was great. Anyone who is squeamish, I would reccomend you stay away from this one as it is very brutal but thats the life they live in so you can't fault the movie.

Cidade de Deus (City of God) is a REALLY good movie, yes. And indeed also very brutal, but not to the detriment of the movie.
