This is Spinal Tap... for the billionth time... the special features are great if you liked the movie (and there are more than 2 hours worth!!)
Special Features are almost as good as the movie itself.

The Manchurian Canidate - The original (it's not even close, IMO the orig. is far far far superior)

I just saw "High Fidelity" for the xxxth time. My girl broke up with me recently and in those "moods" this movie really gets me feeling good again . Great movie with John Cusack, Jack Black, Catherina Zeta Jones, Tim Robbins and a little role for "The Boss".

Oh, Man. I just watched The Village last night. It's not a bad movie by any means, but the ending is so...so....bad twilight zone. I really felt like I'd been hoodwinked. And I think I'm in love with Ron Howard's daughter. If it wasn't for her, the movie would have beeen a major wash.

And as for remakes. I am so against them. And why do they try and remake classics? What's the point? It's just like when they remake songs. Unless you can put a truly original, claver twist on the thing, learn to create something new on your own.

Oh, yeah. I watched Saw, too. Brr.....I actually think it was a pretty riveting movie, if not a bit precocious (sp) in it's cleverness. I really hope they make some kind of sequel. It really did have strong shades of Seven to it.
Hey! What're you kicking me for? You want me to ask? All right, I'll ask! Ma'am, where do the high school girls hang out in this town?

I watched a few movies over the weekend...

Coach Carter-Very, Very good movie. Anyone that is a fan of basketball needs to see this movie. It has some great basketball scenes, but it also has a lot of life lessons. This is not your typical sports movie. Great movie with a good soundtrack too.

    Friday Night Lights

Without a Paddle- Funny movie with Seth Green, Dax Sheppard (from Punk'd), and Matthew Lilliard.

The Terminal- Better than I expected it to be.

    .
I will say this about The Village... EXCELLENT trailers.... For whatever that is worth. Too bad the trailers really paint the wrong picture of the movie.

I agree tho... it's not a bad movie but it is VERY Scooby Doo (cartoon) meets Twilight Zone. And not good Twilight Zone.

M Night could use a partner to let him know when his "Hitchcock" is becoming "Scooby Doo" and get him back on path.

"The Village" was not a very good movie, but I give M.Night some credit. At least he tries to make movies that are a little different and unique, if they don't all quite pan out, I am willing to cut him some slack.

I cannot believe I got duped into watching that Dynamite movie. What a waste of time. About four of the one-liners in the entire movie were mildly amusing.

Yeah, I liked the first part of "The Village", but it's such an anti-climax when you find out the plot . Really a pitty, could have been so much better IMO.

    I love M. Night's films.

Signs was about losing ones faith, it was never about aliens.

The Village was about you cannot run away from human nature, it finds you.

If you've never seen a film by Shamalon I could see how you would feel cheated, but if you've seen them before you had to know there was a deep story underlining the entire film.

    Now back on topic.

I just watched Cellular. It was much better than I anticipated it to be. However I enjoyed the bonus feature on there which was a documentary called "Code of Silence" which was about the corruption in the Rampart squad of the L.A.P.D.

If you've ever seen the Shield on FX this will all be very familiar right down to the calling cards.

I think so far I have seen all his important films (The 6th Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and The Village) and I liked them all, except the 2nd part of The Village. I know the sub-meanings, but I just didn't like the way the 2nd part of The Village, doesn't mean I don't like or don't understand his movies. Btw Bball I aggree the trailer of The Village is one of the best, but to me the movie just doesn't quite deliver (it's promise).

Ten years ago, some of the worst atrocities in the history of mankind took place in the country of Rwanda; and in an era of high-speed communication and round-the-clock news, the events went almost unnoticed by the rest of the world. In only three months, almost 1 million people were brutally murdered. In the face of these unspeakable actions, inspired by his love for his family, an ordinary man summons extraordinary courage to save the lives of over a thousand helpless refugees by granting them shelter in the hotel he manages.

I enjoyed that movie also. During the time I was watching the movie, I had a good time, as soon as it was over I forgot all about the movie. One of those type movies.

I just saw, "In Good Company" Very good movie. Topher Grace the guy who is in "that 70's show" is an excellent actor. he is a star in the making if he gets the right roles over the next two years.

Excellent movie, but very very sad. Any movie with Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman (the world's greatest actor) has got to be pretty good. Hillary Swank was awesome in it as well.

Do you think the movie would be as popular if the 'twist' wasn't hidden from the public in the trailers and responisble reviews?

I'm not asking if it would be less of a movie (I haven't seen it but I unfortunately heard the 'twist')... I'm just asking if the public would've still made a point to see it and give it a chance?
