I think I'm getting old. Wonder Women was OK. I found it rather odd though.

I didn't realize Michael Bay was doing another Transformers movie. I would rather sit in a dentist chair all day long and have every tooth extracted without any pain killers than to sit through a Michael Bay movie.

Many of the super hero movies are decent, and obviously a lot of people love them, but it is shocking me to think back 15-20 years ago and realize that there was a time when every summer movie wasn't a super hero movie.

It's supposedly Bay's last movie for the franchise... And who can't get behind robots and Nazis? Who?

I am not a superhero movie person at all, but I've found some recent movies to be very enjoyable.

Marvel/DC movies that I think are actually good movies: Nolan's Batman trilogy (golden standard for me), Logan, XMen First Class, Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2 (both had major flaws imo but have great moments/runs), Dr. Strange, First Avengers, and Wonder Woman.

I think the Avengers movie is the worst on my personal list. I have to admit that I haven't even seen Suicide Squad, Batmand/Superman, some of the Wolverine movies, Superman movies (gimmicky camera work annoyed me in the first 20 minutes or so), Cap America (Aside from Civil War, and wasn't a fan of that), Thor, etc.

I do wish that seemingly every blockbuster wasn't a superhero movie though. I really wish some new Harry Potter-like series would pop up. Rebirth of Star Wars is cool enough, even if I didn't like Ep 7 much at all.

47 Meters Down- Saw an advanced screening of it the other day had tense moments the ending made me go WTF.

Not bad if you don't have anything better to do.

Dodgeball- Fun movie didn't take itself too seriously

Major League- I get why it was so popular. I really enjoyed this one.

Moonlight - I enjoyed the movie overall, but some moments were hard to watch, and the ending was a'ight.

    Spoiler Spoiler:
First time in a long time, I've been happy with the team that was constructed, and now they struggle. I blame the coach.

Snakes on a Plane- A fun movie and would really creep me out if snakes were really on a plane rather inventive for a horror flick.

In the Line of Fire- Lots of recognizable actors a good movie too.

Well if this latest twist in the saga of Amelia Earhart leads to something substantial it could happen.

Spider-Man: Homecoming- The Spider-Man movie I've been waiting for. Funny, charming, and with lots of high school fun. Holland is terrific as Spidey, the entire cast works really well, and nothing feels forced. I absolutely adored this movie, and the cameos were hilarious.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

There seems to be a lack of variety when it comes to entertainment options and I find that silly I like a variety of movies if you tell a good story people will watch. They rather resort to these type of movies because its the lazy option for them and it makes the most $$$

Superhero movies used to be epic and rewatchable to me. Felt like I was always waiting for the next one to come out.

Now they are more like when I read comic books. I always read a comic book, think it was fun, then discard it.

The past 5-6 years of superhero movies have felt similar.

Spiderman Homecoming was amazing. It is a movie that I can watch over and over. Holland is likable and immature. Everything that Peter Parker should be was portrayed by Holland. He was a dorky and awkward teenager. He messed up a lot. But things came together, not because he figured things our, but because Peter would not back down in his clumsy way.

I really liked Baby Driver. I'll probably see it again as my family wants to see it as well. Definitely not complaining about that.

I really disliked The Big Sick. It was cute, but it wasn't very romantic and it wasn't very funny. For me, a romantic comedy needs at least one of those lol. The Beguiled was very well done. Coppola earned her Best Director at Cannes with that. I'm glad more movies I'm interested in are coming out after a slow, slow, slow start to the year.

The Big Sick was more of a dramedy based on the RL story of Kumail Nanjiani and how he met his wife.
