Good news, Mike Chappell is reporting the Colts won't have to give up their 6th round pick (Vontae Davis trade) or 7th round pick (Moise Fokou trade) next year after all. link
Along with recouping the conditional '13 sixth-round pick, Grigson said the Colts also regain the conditional seventh-rounder they sent to Philadelphia for linebackers Moise Fokou and Greg Lloyd. Lloyd didn't make the roster while Fokou, like Davis, won't meet the play-time benchmark.
Yipee, maybe this time we will take a chance on a guy with character issues, like Bryce Brown, or Alonzo Dennard, or possibly Burfict. I liked the first two, but was not as much of a fan of Burfict, but hey to tak a chance with him in the 7th, what is the matter with that?
Cool, the more picks the better. I am really liking Grigson and some of the moves he has made. I can't wait to see what happens in free agency in the offseason. We will have some pretty descent cash to throw out there in the FA market so hopefully we can get the impact players that we need on defense. I hate to say it, but also if he could pull of some kind of trade for Freeney in the offseason and nets us some value I would be really impressed. He has to be GM of the year.
