I bet they give him a shot before his contract is guaranteed makes no sense to guarantee him a contract to just sit him all year. So yes he gets a shot or is cut before the deadline IMO.

Give Ben a chance, and start looking to trade DJ for a serviceable PG with a slightly worse contract. I.Thomas, or Barera, or anybody.

Bench DJ and keep Young glued to the bench till you need a defender.

Lance backup point playing with OJ. That could be pretty exciting right there.

    Yes, give Ben a chance.

It would also be good if we were to acquire a SG with good handles to run the 2nd unit. It's obvious that we make our PGs die a painful death.

When Danny returns, Lance is what you're describing (SG with good handles). Maybe let him bring the ball up the floor and then let Ben be the halfcourt PG?

DJ has been about the worst Pacer I've ever seen play over the first 20 games. Hard to imagine Ben as a bigger train wreck.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if we have to go to Ben Hansbrough at this point in the season, we're screwed.

    According to NBA2k13

    Orlando Johnson = 69
    Lance Stephenson = 59

Let's put Orlando in the starting lineup right away. JK. This year's ratings are a joke. This is also comical:

    Gerald Green = 76
    David West = 76

    Yeah, they're about equal right...???

    DJ Augustine = 75
    George Hill = 74

Obviously DJA should be our starting PG...and to think we're talking about playing Ben Hansbrough over him? Everyone knows these ratings are flawless

Also, note that they update these ratings as the season goes so there is no excuse for the ratings. They even went ahead and changed Hibbert from a 79 to a 76, but left everything the same. Including David West as a 76...which is an abomination

If we keep DJ as our back-up PG we are screwed. So we are screwed either way, let's at least mix it up and hope that we are surprised.

I'm just tossing this out there, but how about calling the Clippers and inquiring about Billups or Bledsoe.

lol I haven't played video games in years, but how can they not figure these things out still? I remember trying to play with JO the year after he got traded from Portland, and he was rated Suck. Also, I remember Jeff Foster always being unusable. But this was like NBA Live 98 or 2000.

It is because they haven't changed how they rate them.

It's ridiculous. This is how I would change it. Lance should be in the high 60's to low 70's, Orlando should be at about 58. Gerald should be like a 70, D-West should be at least an 80... Augustin at like a 69 at best, Hill at like a 77. I understand Roy's change, but I hope his blocks are considerably high.

They suck at updating stuff unless it's about the court appearances or jerseys or maybe players on the big market teams. They are all over that kind of stuff....

I think they need to worry about their starters before giving Ben a chance. For a player like him, he needs to show the intensity his brother shows and maybe vogel will give him a shot. He can shoot well often, but he needs to show intensity and then we'll see
