Default Should Darius Butler be given a starting spot?

BA said that he will be in the mix for one even after Vontae Davis and Jerraud Powers return from injury, I would assume he would start for Powers since Davis is our best corner

Based on what we saw on Thursday, I say yes

Definitely, this man was involved in all three takeaways against the Jags. Takeaways come once a month for the colts.

No. He's not that good. His coverage was pretty outside of those TOs. I reserve the right to change my mind if he plays better but I'd rather have Davis and Powers.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

No. The thing is that he didn't play well against the Jags and people are remembering a great pick 6 and two circumstantial turnovers. The problem is that outside of those 3 he couldn't tackle and play great coverage.

Loved his takeaways last week. I think he needs to prove himself as a consistent defender.

he obviously was not bad or did not struggle in coverage against the Jags, BA watched the film and liked what he saw and thought he could be a starter if Butler did not play well outside of those TO's he would not be in the starter discussion, looks like he will be starting anyway with Powers out for year

Here's a Conrad Brunner article on Butler. Sounds like a great athlete.

Scouts loved his combination of speed (4.41 in the 40) and athleticism (43-inch vertical jump, not to mention his college productivity.

Butler seemed like a very highly-rated prospect with some elite traits coming out. It would seem he's not exactly lived up to expectations. Sounds like an elite-level talent with some holes in his game.
