If you fire the AD at Rutgers, than the the university's board or w/e would have to fire the president as well. According to what I saw on OTL, the AD conferred with and had an agreement with the president regarding the initial 3-game suspension and $75,000 fine.

I'm honestly confused. Were the videos from before or after the suspension? If the guy had real anger problems and had them sorted out, I honestly think firing him would be excessive. Hell, wouldn't that give him grounds for lawsuit for being punished twice for the same series of incidents?

According to what I heard the President didn't even see the tape until yesterday. If that's the case the AD will be gone. I know they say the AD's job is safe right now but there are still lots of questions to be answered and info to come out. I even heard that at a basketball camp the coach was calling 10 year old kids "fa**ots" for wearing flip flops. The guy is scum.

By the way, the NCAA is profiting off of Kevin Ware's injury.

I think I'm more upset by this than the Mike Rice thing.

I really don't think the Rutgers AD is going anywhere. Frankly, I don't this offense was enough to get the coach, AD, and president of the school fired. Fire the coach, move on. Pernetti did that and did it quickly. Rice is a total prick, but his actions are not enough to condemn everyone in the chain of command imo.

In the next 15-20 years, the NCAA is going to crumble. Oh, and Mark Emmert needs to go.

Once we get to the inevitable 4 super conferences I really think they're going to tell the NCAA to eat ****.

Hold on. Collin Hartman's a top 5 prospect in the state. OK. No problem at all with Irvin winning, but who the hell votes for Mr. Basketball?

Apparently IU fans. That one is baffling to me.

There were 5 better players in the 4A state title game than Hartman.

It's crazy that the same school has had Mr. Basketball 2 years in a row, and didn't win their sectional in either year.

There are at least 50 members of the Rutgers staff that have signed a petition for the AD to be fired. More staff members have signed one asking for the President to step down. I could see this coming but I didn't think it would be this soon. Will be interesting to see what happens. It has now come out that the assistant coach acted the SAME WAY towards players and was not reprimanded.

I want to hear more about what players effected by his behavior think before I call for such major action. I saw one on ESPN say that, while he went overboard, players weren't intimidated by his actions and sort of grew because of it.

Glad you're not on a college board. Wow. I know one kid transferred and said that was the main reason.

Rutgers AD "resigned," just like I told you all would happen.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the President gone as well. He sure looked nervous to me at the presser.

Ball State hired James Whitford, 41 year old long time Sean Miller assistant that was his recruiting coordinator.

Like the hire. Solid pedigree under Miller/Matta. Excellent recruiter.

The Spiece AAU team this year is stupid with junior talent, Trey Lyles, Blackmon, Jaquan Lyle, Bluiett, and PJ Thompson from my alma mater Brebeuf.

I was shocked when I heard Irvin was Mr. Bball this year, but then I started to look at his compeition and I wasn't as shocked anymore.

    He must really like Self.

Self has never been one to just hand the reigns to a freshman.

It might be worth a trip to the Champions Classic in Chicago next year. Hell, half the first round will be there.

Self is a hell of a coach if I was a young kid with talent he would be my first choice.

In fact I am ready to transfer after next year, and KU will be one of my top choices. I want to be a student manager, and Self is at the top of my list. I just hope one of the top coaches will let me help their program out.
