I honestly have no idea what to expect out of this game. I could easily see the Pats taking a big lead early, and Luck leading the Colts back. Should be a high scoring affair for at least one team, neither defense is all that impressive.

Mr Uggs will shred our Defense

But Andrew can do the same to them however its at NE and I think it will be closer than people think but Andrew will struggle a bit.

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

You can expect we'll lose a game or two that we shouldn't. I would call 6-1 best-case scenario, rather than realistic.

We lost to NYJ and JAX. We have improved immensely since the Jets loss. Losing to bad teams is over for the 2012 Colts

I don't see Luck having any difficulty vs the 28th ranked pass defense

The Colts have better coaching ourselves than we've had in past years..... Not making any comparisons whatsoever with the Pats' coaching.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

But can still happen, lol... I agree that we've improved, but we still have a ways to go. I applaud your enthusiasm though. For real, it's better to endure that than it is to endure overwhelming pessimism. I actually think we could be close to 6-1, more like 5-2 or 4-3, but still, I think we have a decent shot at the playoffs. Even at 4-3, that puts us at 10-6. I don't even care about seeding, because this team is dangerous enough to scare any team, regardless of where or who. Luck is the guy that makes me believe that this team has a chance at any point in time.

There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

We have arrived. Forget everything you have heard or read from the pundits about how bad we were supposed to be before the season started. Forget about the early losses while we were simply figuring out how to win. I know I don't have to tell you how great Andrew Luck already is. You were the one that first made the comparison to Lebron James, and I completely agree. Laugh at me if you want, but I'm expecting Luck to get us to the Super Bowl this year.

I'm not laughing, I think it's possible.... but I'm not sold on "likely". Especially watching the Texans just lay the wood on the Bears. Even LeBron James needed 9 years to win a title.

    Peyton needed 9 years too.

Getting to the championship is an extremely difficult task even when you have an absolutely stacked team like the mid 2000's Colts.

Well, Powers and Nevis are done for the year. Chapman has been upgraded to the active roster.

    INDIANAPOLIS COLTS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

Posted by coltsindianapolis on November 12, 2012 – 3:03 pm

The Indianapolis Colts today activated nose tackle Josh Chapman from the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List and elevated tight end Kyle Miller from the practice squad to the active roster. The Colts placed defensive tackle Drake Nevis and cornerback Jerraud Powers on Injured Reserve.

Chapman, 6-0, 316 pounds, was originally selected by the Colts in the fifth round (136th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Alabama. During his 54-game collegiate career, Chapman was a part of two Crimson Tide National Championship teams (2009 and 2011) and produced 88 tackles (44 solo), 13.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and four passes defensed. As a senior, he contributed to a defensive unit that led the nation in total defense (183.6 ypg), rush defense (72.2 ypg) and scoring defense (8.2 ppg).

Miller, 6-5, 260 pounds, was signed by the Colts as a free agent on April 3, 2012. He was waived on August 31 and signed to the practice squad a day later. Miller was originally signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Mount Union on July 26, 2011 before being waived on September 3. At Mount Union, Miller totaled 87 catches for 1,259 yards and 16 touchdowns in 47 games, while earning All-Ohio Athletic Conference first-team, All-North Region first-team and All-America honors.

Nevis, 6-1, 310 pounds, appeared in nine game this season (three starts), totaling 20 tackles (seven solo) and one sack. For his career, he has played in 14 games (three starts) and has recorded 39 tackles (16 solo), one sack and one pass defensed.

Powers, 5-10, 187 pounds, started in eight games this year and registered 45 tackles (34 solo), seven passes defensed and an interception. Over his four-year career, he has started all 42 games he’s played while making 220 tackles (165 solo), 32 passes defensed, seven interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

LeBron is 20% of his team on both offense and defense. You can argue he has the same kind of impact on offense and that he may be able to help out w/ field position, but once the defense is out there they're still an average defense that is last in the league in turnovers.

I hope the line really protects Luck this week. Belecheat would like nothing better than to end Luck's career or at least his season if his players get a chance.... I know Luck is big and he is a tough kid. So is Big Ben and that injury he has may be really serious. Shoulder injuries on the throwing arm can end a career for a QB... I hope for the best for Ben and Luck....

It is classless to bring up a possible injury to the future of the Colts organization just to rile up fans of the team. There's absolutely no connection between defensive players on the IR and a recently injured defensive tackle to a healthy quarterback.

I don't know what you are talking about. I was talking about the offensive line and I wished Luck and Ben the best. Take your classless somewhere else. All of these players are only one bad hit away from the end of their career..... I had no intention of riling up fans....

I don't see how anyone could read my post and think that I was wishing for Luck to be hurt. You bet that I think Belichick is that kind of coach or to try and rip up the knees of a star running back..... I only brought it up because I read what happened to Big Ben who is a big and tough as they come.....I really wasn't suggesting anything but I think there are four games coming up that could be dangerous for any players on the Colts....
