Default Colts - Pats moved to a 4:25 start

We're definitely starting to get some national recognition. Hopefully it's a good game that keeps the Colts-Pats rivalry going.

The Indianapolis Colts-New England Patriots game will move from 1:00 PM ET to 4:25 PM ET on CBS.

I hope not. I'm kind of tired of playing them every year.

But I look forward to watching Luck destroy them after Tom Brady retires.

Not sure as an excellent owner that Kraft will let his team fall too far.

Hey, don't take my dream away from me.

That, and seeing someone punch Belichick in the face.

I've heard some positive things about Ryan Mallet's development. I wouldn't assume they are going to fold when Brady finally hangs it up.

They might have a rough period when Brady and Belichick leave, but who knows? No one thought that the Colts would start 5-3 after getting rid of Manning. And for that matter, no one thought the Pats would win 11 games without Brady. The Pats are a tremendously run franchise from top to bottom and there is no doubt that Robert Kraft will bring in some quality people to run the show when Belichick leaves.

It all depends on when Bill leaves them. If he leaves them when they are transitioning, they could be in trouble because as we saw any scrub can win 11 games in his system. But if he leaves them and they have to go through the rookie development process, things could get painful.

Man this game will be huge as long as we can get by a terrible Jax team with no MJD.

I was hoping they'd stick with the 1 PM slot because I like watching the Colts first than the Broncos afterwards now they'll be on at the same time.

But yes this is a good sign of the team being noticed in the post Manning era.

Mallet has all the tools- bigger, stronger, faster, with a cannon-like arm, the son of a coach, and likely 2.5 or 3.5 more years to learn in the background and grow up on the personal side (possible pot smoking which caused him to drop from a 1st rounder to a 3rd rounder).

His upside is enormous and I would not sleep on his ability to make a decade of Mallet-Luck battles look a little like the decade of Brady-Manning battles.

Belichick is probably not going to coach into old age though.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)
