    * Obviously this is all contengent on health & no more trades. I have made this after the James Harden trade to Houston has occured so anything after that changes things. But as of today this is my best guess.

** If Granger is actually injured and either plays at a decreased capacity or misses a lot of games the Pacers will drop much much further than where I have them.

Intersting that you have Philly over the Knicks, I really struggled with not putting the Knicks above the Celtics but I just think I bent to peer pressure (for whatever reason I don't believe in the Celtics but I'm sticking with this prediction). The Knicks are really a hard team to put my finger on. I think the final decision for me was that both Chandler & Amare are already suffering from lingering injuries so I felt like that would be the difference between them & Boston.

I remebered that I gave a fairly optimistic prediction for the Pacers last season, and they almost met my expectations (I have them beating the Heat back then so... ). If I continue to make positive prediction for the Pacers then maybe they'll get to win a title or two...

I just can't see the Knicks, who got worse over the offseason, staying healthy and playing well together. God I hate the Knicks.

Wow you really don't think much of the Cavs do you?

Also now that Amare is out up to at least the first 6 weeks of the season I may revise my ranking before tonight.

Until the harden trade, I was picking the Thunder to get to the NBA Finals, but now I am going to pick the Lakers to lose to the Heat in the Finals.

Also, this was by far the hardest season in years for me to figure out. Leaving the Cavs off in the East was tough IMO, and basically anyone in the Northwest division could make the playoffs and I wouldn't be surprised.

Default Re: Official 2012/13 NBA prediction thread...

I really overestimated the the Cavs and the Wizards.

I knew I should have stuck with my Pacers party prediction of saying the Knicks in second place, everybody looked at me like an alien there but dang it I was eventually right (not that I'm happy about it).
