With the balance of this team I can see no player dominating, thus statistically no player will stand out. The Pacers could be 2nd in the east and have no player in the All-Star game. That would be more motivation for the playoffs.
Coaches will put 1 pacer in the game if they are a top 3 seed.

Rose is going to have to be voted in by the fans to make the all star game. At best, he'll be back mid-January. He won't be put in by the coaches based on 2 weeks (again, at best) of play.

I don't think Rose gets voted in. Wade will at guard, and so will LeBron and Melo. I think the other two will be Williams and Bosh.

I think the best shots are Hibbert (coaches, obviously with the rule changes), and Paul George because of his defense.

Hard to say Granger with his knee issue at the moment. This will give Paul a chance to really be 'the man' if Granger misses any time.

I wouldn't even put D-Rose on the ballot.

Roy and Paul George have the best shot in my opinion.

Lots of crow to serve up from this thread. Ol Blu, looks like i got the best of you this time... Do you need my address to send the $50? If you won't do the money, I'll gladly take a snippet of text regarding the fact that you were dead wrong and i (and several other wiser Pacer fans) were right.

The one thing with this thread is that it was pre-Granger injury, at least in terms of him not playing at all for the first half of the season. It was also before Roy's offense fell apart.

Granger would certainly have hurt Paul's chances simply due to balanced scoring and DG having the ASG rep already.

In the vote thread between Paul and West I picked Paul, but West made a run at it for the reasons I said he would, so I don't feel too bad about my prediction. He was leading the team in scoring and had Paul not taken off then West certainly would have gone. As it was he was still in the mix.

Don't see how anyone would think the Pacers would have no reps unless they thought that WITH Danny and with Roy of last season they still wouldn't be a top 2-3 team. But then we also have a few pot stirrers and who knows how sincere they were being.

I think Roy with his shot blocking and perhaps 15-8 season on a winning team can do it, but I really think the D West angle is intriguing. He's been a scoring machine before and his moves look stronger and healthier than last year. If he gets rolling for the first half and is knocking out 18 points every night, again on a winning team, then he might have a case.

I say 100% no way on Paul or Hill Danny is the wild card. He has a potential path and can obviously put up a ton of points, plus the image that he's been there before (but so have Roy and West).
