Under the new rules, I don't think any of them have a chance. If I had to guess, I would think it would be Hibbert but not likely since they don't list centers anymore....

I'd gladly wager with ol blue or anyone else who thinks that we won't have at least one all star player. Any takers?

I'm also surprised no one has mentioned D West... Barring injuries, he's got a shot. But, no, i won't bet on that one.

I will bet the farm against Granger..... He has been sliding in recent years. I see no reason to think he is going to be good enough this year. In fact, he might be the least likely Pacer to make the All Star Team. PG could have a break out season and make it, he has room to improve. Hill, West or Hibbert could also put a good season together. I think Granger has already peaked and will continue to decline....

Vogel indeed has the best shot.

Mello, LeBron and even Pierce are going to the all-star game before Granger. This is especially true with Danny playing a smaller role on a balanced team.

Paul hasn't shown he can put together a string of great games let alone all-star level play. I still have high hopes for him...but honestly he has to start showing it. Maybe he becomes a late bloomer because quite frankly if he doesn't make a significant improvement this year we are looking at a little better version of Brandon Rush.

Roy has a chance. I know he will be competing with Bosh and Garnett now. But if he makes another leap...look out. I honestly think that once his body fully matures and he gets a little thicker, he's just going to be a load with that skill set. Combine that with the fact I suspect he gets his head right...and he may become dominant.

I know the center rule has changed, but it's the same guy that made it last year, Roy.

If the Pacers are a top 4 seed at the break there will definitely be at least 1 Pacer in the game... I think the coaches would see to it... I know you don't think we'll be that high... But the odds are in our favor...

I think a combination of Horford, Chandler, Bosh, and Bynum is going to be too much competition for Hibbert this year. I think Hibbert is going to be more efficient this year, but I don't think he's going to have a big spike in numbers. I do think that Granger will be better than his absolutely horrendous start last year. I think he's going to average around 18 points on fewer shots than last year and have a career year in assists. (3-3.5 apg)

I would say Paul (he'll be exciting and All-star favorable this year) and Roy (he'll put on one helluva first half-season show and get in). Hill's kind of a stretch, but he could be really great. And if DJ or Gerald happen to put on an exceptional 6th man performance for the first half of the season, they might get a coach's choice. Besides them, Granger won't have a shot to make the fan-voted starters, and I think he has a less chance at getting a bench role.

I kinda hope Plumlee manages to make the Rookie game, though.

You really think Granger has less chance than his backup and the backup PG to make the allstar game? Regardless of excitement, Granger and now Hibbert because of his contract are pretty synonymous around non-Pacers fans with the Pacers.

I would be more surprised to see Hibbert not selected. I think a lot of people on here underestimate how good and important Hibbert is, especially on the defensive end. With the new rules he has no chance with the fan vote, unless George takes a huge leap none of our players do, but I think coaches realize this and will choose him.

I don't know, but we'll have at least 1, if at the time the coaches vote the pacers have the second best record in the eastern conference. Coaches look at the best teams and pick players on those teams. If for some reason the pacers start off really slow and are below .500 they probably won't have any.

I think the pacers will get 1 or two based upon our teams record more so than by a great year by an individual

I think Granger can make it back. If he scores 18, rebounds 5, shoots well, gets 1 steal or 1 block.....and we have to be top 3.

Granger seems possible. If we get a good seed by the break and he doesn't play awful (like the start of last year) then he would make it.
Hibbert might, but he would need to outplay Horford, which won't be easy. If the Knicks do well then except Chandler to make it also.
Hill was hardly a legit starter last year, would probably be the same this year. George will need to make a leap to become an all-star. West has no chance imo

I don't see how Granger gets the nod over LBJ/Melo/Pierce, as has been said before.

Hibbert has a shot, but like the other poster wrote, Bynum/Bosh could really make it difficult if they stay healthy. However, I see Bynum is already injured...

Paul, if he plays well, doesn't have much competition at the 2. Ray Allen? Wade, if he's healthy? Monta?

I'd think Paul could get in if he becomes the focal point of the offense and continues his defensive growth. Hibbert gets in if he shoots 60%, scores 18+, really lives up to the max contract. Oh, and if Bynum doesn't just go insane. Horford...well, he's hard to predict.

Chandler is all hype. Awful numbers for a center, and the All-star game is all about numbers.
