@DavidBaumann33: Solid #NBA source tells me the Boston @Celtics are fearing a possible torn ACL for Rajon #Rondo. Results from MRI coming soon. Updates ASAP.

Lets hope that's just a fake rumor.

certainly don't wish that on anyone, but Boston is done if that's true.

Pretty much proves that the clown they had as a coach didn't know wtf he was doing, Peter Vecsey pretty much said that their coach was looking to get fired and that was one of the ways to get fired.
He ended up firing the team from what I understand, in other words he quit.

He is no clown, he is a great coach.

That team is very poorly put together.

Couldn't agree more. He's doing so much better than #5 pick Robinson, but Robinson has had a couple good games of late. Maybe he's getting it figured out.

According to some reporters he got himself fired on purpose, he was trying to screw with the team to get fired and get all his money, that's a clown to me.

I don't disagree that if that is what he did it shows poor character and he probably won't coach again for a long time in the NBA.

But from a pure coaching standpoint he is actually very good. One of the best defensive coach's out there.

BTW, what is your opinion of George Karl as a coach?

    Agreed.

And as a Piston fan, it frustrates me even more that they couldn't have even won 3 of the many games they had a chance to win and didn't pull it out. 3 more wins and they're basically tied with the Celtics now. Grrrr

But don't take away from that that I'm glad Rondo's hurt. It's bad for the league when a top notch player gets hurt like that.

This has to be the most painful day for the celtics since 2007....

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Pierce is screwing up and Doc keeps giving him the ball, it doesn't make sense.

Great game in Boston, indeed. Boston wins. Miami loses. Nice

No doubt he is one of the best defensive coaches in the league, but that title to me belongs to coaches that have average defenders or bad defenders and make them better, see Tom T in Chicago with Boozer, Nate and others and Vogel with West, Lance and others.

I believe that anybody can be a good defensive coach if that person has a team full of defensive players, a defensive coach to me needs to be able to convert those bad defenders into good ones or at least implement a system were they don't look as bad and Skilles didn't do that in Milwaukee or was unwilling to do it.

BTW, what is your opinion of George Karl as a coach?
I like Karl as a person but I'm not that big of a fan of his coaching, he gives his players too long of a leash turning them into bad percentage shooting players, I like coaches that give their players the freedom to play but at the same time I want a coach that tells them not to take stupid shots.

I'm going to laugh, if it's D'Antoni, not Phil Jackson, that gets Kobe to take less shots and pass more.

If Kobe keeps passing instead of shooting then the Lakers can get to the playoffs. Will he stick to it?

The Lakers are now on a 2 game winning streak, and are a stunning 4-6 in their last 10.

Maybe they will. But I'll believe it when I see it.

Pistons look really good occasionally. I think they make the playoffs. They probably beat us next week, too.
