GS was running some weird *** zone for part of the 3rd I am still trying to figure out what the principals of it were. They only ran it for like 3 minutes but it was really weird looking.
Forgive me if my terminology is wrong, but it looked like a 1-2-2 matchup zone. The weird part might have been the recovering from mismatches as they kept switching out of them. Strange to see this from a team with weak/undersized backcourt. IIRC, this kind of defense is normally used by team with size in the back court and athleticism in the front court.

how good do you guys think GS can be if Bogut ever becomes and stays healthy?
With Bogut they can be a top team.

I expect Philly to work on some trades before the trade deadline, they should just say f*** it with the Bynum wait and go after Al Jefferson, at least he can stay healthy.

Ehhh, probably not. Even with Bogut, they wouldn't have a guy who can really create off the dribble in the playoffs, when teams basically know all of your offensive sets and focus their game plan on stopping it. That's when you need a creator. I will say the Warriors do have a number of guys who aren't afraid to take a clutch shot, which helps. But they don't have the creator.

But an 80% Bogut with the way the rest of the team has been playing this year along with the Oracle Arena crowd would make for a dangerous team come playoff time. They wouldn't be a top contender, but they wouldn't be a team anyone would want to play, either.

Funny to see how the Warriors now need a shot creator.

They do. Monta could do an impression of one every now and then. But look at the guy's FT attempts. Whatever guy they need who can create at will when he you threw him the ball, Monta wasn't that guy.

    Not against good defenses anyways.

I think he was that guy, not only that but he was pretty good at finding open shots for his teammates, it sucks that they did not keep him for at least this year were they are finally good.

It probably was some times it looked like a 1-3-1 and others it did look like the box and Barnes guard the top of the key. Thats why I said I couldn't figure out the principals. I wasn't a fan of it but it did limit the Clippers who weren't hitting their shots.

I am about to go back and watch that game. I am puzzled on why you would play a zone versus the Clippers like I said I wasn't really paying attention I just happened to look up and saw a weird zone so I watched for a few minutes.

Call me crazy but I think the Lakers problems start with Howard, the guy looks old and is not putting a 100% effort, he is always smiling and complaining to the officials, that guy is not a winner.

Mark Jackson should be a coach of the year candidate.

This is how incredible Durant is right now. Kobe and Durant are averaging the same amount of points per game, only kobe has to take 3.5 more shots per game. But here's the thing- Kobe is having an incredibly efficient season, one of his most efficient scoring seasons ever. So that's not a criticism of Kobe. It's just showing how Durant has completely lost his mind.

    Durant is insane right now.
