Memphis really tried to give the game away to the Bulls, yet they still win. Good for the Pacers!

That was such a weird ending to this game.

The failed Memphis fast break in the end and then the uncontested dunk that the Bulls gave them were head scratchers.

By the way, Chris Johnson had a really great first game for the Wolves. 15 points (4/4 shooting, 7/8 FTs), 6 boards and 1 block in 18 minutes.

    Awesome start

Mickael Gelabale had a good first game (back after 5 years out of the league) too (I personally would happily exchange Gerald Green for him).

In case anybody doesn't know who Gelabale is:

I admit it, he's still a douche and I didn't think so after his subpar play this season, but dude now really deserves his big contract if he can put up those numbers in basketball, too.

I give the players a lot of credit for not laughing.

Did you see earlier in the game, when he gave Griffin and NeNe a warning, and NeNe said to Griffin "Why did we get a warning?"

    That made me laugh too.

Yep they are going to overpay again.

ē Indiana forward David West is another unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Interestingly, the Pacers seem to have no interest in moving him and arenít really taking any calls. Sources say thatís because the Pacers feel they have a pretty good shot at retaining West (much like they did when they matched Portlandís offer for Roy Hibbert).

Good! This team falls apart entirely without West. He's the heart and soul of the team. Also, its most consistently productive player.

At some point in time you are going to have to sit down and write out your player worth manifesto. If David West at 10 million a year isn't worth his contract with the numbers and let's face it team production that we have had since he arrived then I really need to see your formula for what money/contract has value in the NBA.

Regarding Joey Crawford, I know he is usually obnoxious and pisses us off sometimes but honestly I would like him to ref our games in the playoffs against the top teams like Miami or superstar loaded teams in general.

The formula is going to be pretty simple when the Pacers start trading players because they don't have the cap space to pay them all, West at 10mil is ok but I believe he is going to get more and knowing Walsh he is going to pay whatever it takes.

No formula is needed to figure out that the Pacers are overpaying some players, teams in the NBA can only have an amount of overpay players, so far the Pacers are overpaying Roy for few millions, they are overpaying Danny by a lot, they are overpaying Hill by few millions, Tyler, DJ,Green are way overpay, Ian is overpay but for the sake of argument lets say that "the best backup center in the NBA" is not overpay, I don't think you can build a championship team in an small market like Indiana by just throwing money around like a drunk sailor, that's a recipe to fail.

Get back to me when you can prove that the Pacers overpaid someone like Memphis did with Rudy Gay.

You cannot do that though, do you?

Preaching to the choir here. It would be OK with me if the Crawford Bros officiated all the Pacer playoff games. With Joey [and Danny] you know you will get both a fair share of the calls and be given a chance to play hard.

So the Houston Chronicle has a letter from Daryl Morey to Royce White and a portion of a response to it from White's representatives from back in November.

    http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocket...o-royce-white/

I hope the Chronicle dug threw a dumpster or something to find that, if the Rockets gave it to them that's poor form.

As far as I understand, those are transcripts from Royce's earlier TV interview for HBO Real Sports. I don't know if Royce himself gave HBO these docs or not, but HBO had first pages of both docs on camera. Basically, chronicle, SI and a few other blogs stopped the frame and transcribed what was visible.

I saw someone post a Royce tweet where he claims that it's the Rockets leaking. But what's the point for the Rockets to leak first pages, anyway.

Btw, the second doc is the infamous "protocol" that Royce keeps talking about. basically, he wants to Rockets to amend his contract and add this protocol. But as far as I understand, it's not allowed under CBA, so they've been stuck for months with Royce sitting at home and collecting checks. Which might be what Royce really wants, I wouldn't be surprised by anything at this point. The guy has lied and been caught or used evasive language so much that i just take anything he says with a grain of salt at this point.

He's not collecting checks. The Rockets have been fining him for a couple months since he won't show up for anything. It'd actually cost them more money to cut him since his first two years are guaranteed.

Hahaha. Yeah cause they are pretty comparable those 2. Especially to what they offered on the offensive end.
