How long until we start hearing Chris Bosh rumors?

Walsh made a huge mistake in signing Amare instead of keeping Lee, he went for the shiny toy.
It's easy to say things with hindsight in mind.

It's no really hindsight I remember a lot of people(including me) asking that question, Lee was a 20/10 guy in NY that was looking to make 10mil a year while Amare was a 23/9 guy that was looking to make 18mil, I understood at the time why they had to do it after missing on Lebron, Wade, etc but after few years it looks like it was not the right decision.

Note that I'm a huge Amare fan but I understand that at that price he was a huge risk to take.

Bosh rumors have been around basically since their first games together, when they lost some games and his rebounding numbers weren't what people expected.

At this point, rebounds or not, he's playing some of his best basketball.

Seriously, though, aren't you one of the guys who says you have to take risks to move forward?

If you demand people take risks and then go back with hindsight and say "see, you shouldn't have taken that risk", you become one of the fans who drive team ownership to play it safe and just try to maintain a team that has fan-favorite players who guarantee a good attendance.

Taken to its extreme (in other words, I know you aren't doing this, but I know some folks who seem to), it's like a game of "I won't go see this team because they won't taske risks" converting to "I won't go see this team because they took a risk that didn't work out".

Well, no one was complaining about the Amare signing when he seemingly rejuvenated the Knicks.

Because things have gone so poorly, people forget how good the start of his Knicks career was. Then the trade for Melo and here it goes...drain...haha

Nope I'm not one of those guys.

Amare was a huge risk at that price because of his knees, name one player that I have suggested to bring here that has similar issues to Amare.

NY(Donnie Walsh) ended up taking that risk because they didn't have a choice, they were not able to get Lebron, Wade or JJ so they ended up with Amare.

Just so you know I was just asking a question, re-signing Lee would have also been a risk because nobody knew if his stats were inflated because of D'Antoni's system, my point is that I remember thinking at the time why would you replace a 20/10 guy with another 20/10 guy that is going to make 8/9 more mil a year? and also Lee was a all star before NY let him go for nothing.

I love how some of you guys spend a lot of time looking for my previous posts to prove me wrong...

I already said that I am a huge Amare fan of course I'm going to suggest bringing him here even thought I knew that was never going to be possible, I mean look who we had at power forward at that time, Posey, Mcsuck and Tyler.

Anyway the James Posey days, how far we've come from it.

I spent all of 10 seconds Googling something to prove you wrong but if it makes you feel better thinking it was a long and arduous process to show some hypocrisy, by all means think that.

Also, you were on record as saying we never needed a power forward since Hansbrough was so good but I don't need to use Google to remind everyone of that. I think most remember it.

10 seconds? I think is nice that you spend so much time thinking about me though, thanks.

Yes I have mentioned that I was wrong about Tyler many times, maybe you didn't not see it because you were too busy looking at Josh Mcsucks highlights on youtube?

To be fair, I just googled "Amare Stoudemire vnzla81", that thread is the second result, it may have taken me less than 10 seconds. yay internet

Did OlBlu give you some pointers recently on how to make awesome nicknames?

And seriously, just Google "vnzla81 Amare Stoudemire" and tell me how long it takes to find the link I provided.

Interesting proposal on how to keep players from going broke. Instead of guys making X million a year, everybody makes $500k, then the rest of the contract is put into an annuity they get for the rest of their life. It's overkill, players can obviously do this by themselves, but it is a shame how quickly a lot of these guys go bankrupt. I'm not sure I wouldn't do the same thing if I'd become a millionaire at 20 years old.

Yeah right. Players wouldn't ever agree to not having access to their money. $500,000 per year won't last some of their car payments.

Not to mention being principally opposed to treating grown adults like babies.

Kerr and Bill Simmons both made the point that Durant will probably win the MVP this season. A real travesty if he does. As great as Durant is, LBJ is the best player on the planet. He should win the MVP. Every year from now until, well the next years probably.
