Westbrook is a really good player, but if I were the Thunder, I'd do a sign and trade for Chris Paul. Westbrook just can't realize that Durant is superior to him. Westbrook calls his own card waaaaaaaay more than he should. It cost them a win against the Wolves.

Also, an oddity in the NBA... the Timberwolves' 7 most used players are white, and in their matchup against the Thunder only 3 players on their active roster weren't.

With that said, it's downright unfair the quality of point guard play they regularly utilize. I mean, they're starting Ridnour and Alexey Shved. And bringing in Ricky Rubio and JJ Barea off the bench? Are you kidding me?

pretty cool interview with New York's Chris Copeland. talks about going from an absolute nobody to making an NBA paycheck.

Ridnour is more of a combo guard compared to the rest. Barea is more of a scoring PG as well. But yeah Shved and Rubio in the same back court is just amazing.

That is true, but I don't discredit point guards for being "scoring PGs" so much as long as they make quick decisions with the ball. That's the one thing I didn't like about Collison. Unless he was given the green light on a play, he usually had a little hitch right before a pass or a shot that would give the defense just a little bit more time to get back into th eplay. They both have career per36 averages of 6.5 assists though

It works out better for them that way since they don't lose on on having a second wing scorer even though they have 2 or 3 guards out there all the time.

Genuine question: Do we have international scouting? Was watching Shved last night. Is it true he went undrafted and signed as a free agent? In hindsight, we could use someone like him instead of Augustin.

Well, we had Bird, who personally scouted Saras, Lorbek, and Stanko...

It's sorta sad that Peja is the best international player the Pacers have had in the last 10 years.

Well Lebron James, in the last 5 games, spanning 186 minutes and 9 seconds, has committed no fouls.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Drummond with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in less than a quarter of game time... Obviously, maxiell needs to keep starting...

Shved never even entered the draft. They just signed him outright after seeing his play in the EL and with the Russian NT.

But he was burned out by Saras and never wanted to touch any European prospect again.

We have to start scouting for Euros again. And I'm not only talking about prospects that are going to enter the draft.

We should search for FAs in Europe as well. Shved isn't the only late bloomer. There are others as well. Or we could just bring in veteran shooters or veteran PGs. There are several in Europe that could stand in an NBA rotation. Pablo Prigioni comes to mind who was an excellent pick-up for the Knicks.

We could go for Huertas, for example, if it wasn't for his 4 year contract. In any case, we have to find some good deals in Europe to round out our bench.

Euro FAs will always come to get a shot at the NBA
