New York is the real deal, even without Melo they destroyed Miami, yep they didn't need time to adjust without their best player, that is what good teams are supposed to do.

The 2013 Knicks are a clone of the 2011 Mavs. Good luck stopping that freight train...

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

You realize they shot 44 3 pointers right? Making 18 of 44 3 pointers in a game is definitely sustainable basketball.

Funny that I didn't think about it that way but yeah you are right, could they be better than the Mavs with the addition of Amare? I think is possible.

I wish the Pacers had an old school former champ on their team like a Kidd or Sheed. I think Byron Scott used to bring his Laker rings into the Pacers' locker room to motivate the team. When old successful veterans who have won titles talk, the rest of the guys listen. Kidd and Sheed know how a champ conducts itself. They might have a combined age of almost 80, but you can't put a price on their experience.
Don't forget the recent championship chemistry that the tandem of Jason Kidd and Tyson Chandler bring to the table.

Well if they can maintain that shooting from three-land then there's no way somebody can outscore them, just like how Phoenix was back in the day. But let's see how they can sustain that hot outside shooting.

Actually my post above made fun of this. I don't know how many 3's they normally attempt a night, but they basically shot exactly their average from 3 on the ridiculous 44 attempts. It's hard to believe they could sustain it if they need to shoot that many when Carmelo isn't there, but it's not as far-fetched as I originally thought.

Kidd plus Chandler, then Felton taking the role of Terry and Melo acting as the "Dirk". Didn't notice that semblance until you mention it.

I agree with Charles, I don't understand what Phoenix is trying to do, why no tank for a year or two while growing the young players?

    Jermaine.

EDIT: He just got hit in the face, his reaction made me think he had torn something.

I don't know how the Lakers turn down the Wolves offer. If the offer is true. Can the Wolves absorb Pau's contract?
It's going to be extremely tough for Minnesota to trade for Gasol without giving up Kirilienko and/or Roy (who the Lakers likely won't want as he might be totally finished).

I think in terms of the current Lakers' system, the Toronto deal is much better. Bargs/Calderon/Kleiza are much more ready to contribute today as well.

I know it has been said a million times but, Reggie is a poor announcer, it's really hard to listen to him.

It looks like Ian's replacement brandan wright(he makes 1mil) is also doing pretty well, 14 points tonight and he is averaging 8 and 3.2 for the year.

Fortunately for the Suns, most of the fans can't hear that nonsense tonight, or they'd be owing a lot more in refunds.

Wright's had a great year, and Carlisle's playing him just little enough that he'll be a sneaky good FA signing for someone on the cheap. Hope we make a run at him.

I think Dallas still has him for another year, they have a team option on him the year after this one for

Edit: I was wrong you are right he is a free agent next year.

Wright played for the Mavs last season along with Ian. Not really a replacement.

I heard about the whole refund thing was that for one game only or for the whole season?

You are right that he played last year, he looks to me like Ian's replacement, he is playing the center position at Dallas, if that's not a replacement then I don't know.

I haven't watched this game, but all of the Dallas games I've watched it's been a combination of Kaman, Bernard James, and Elton Brand. He has the height to be a small center, but he is listed at 210 pounds.
