@KBergCBS: The NBA has fined Lakers PG Steve Blake $25K for "directing inappropriate language toward a fan" Friday night, exec VP Stu Jackson says.

I knew he was talking to somebody but I didn't know it was a fan.

J.J. Redick is really, really good. He's so much more than a just a shooter. He would help our offense immensely.

I agree, he moves without the ball really well and is a good passer.

On a couple of related notes since I've been watching most of this Magic/Bulls game:

Gustavo Ayon sucks. I have no idea what you were talking about there p4e.

You were right about Nik Vucevic though. That guy can play.

And as much **** as I'm going to get for this, Josh McRoberts would significantly improve our offense also. The Magic have been playing him at 3 today to guard Luol Deng. Which is weird but has worked. Deng has worked over Arron Afflalo and DeQuan Jones (who the hell is that by the way?) but hasn't been able to do anything against Josh.

I love how they are using E'Twuan Moore. We should use George Hill similarly.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how the hell this team is winning this game or that they are undefeated.

Agree about Moore Vaughn is running a lot of what the Spurs do tons of triangle concepts which is great for Moore. I really like it for their personal where they have a ton of good passers. Ayon was really good last year on a bad team. I didn't see him play the other night but he is barley in the rotation. He isnt great by any means but he is a solid hustle player who can pass a bit. For his contract he is a solid IMO. He isnt that skilled but he is solid and accepts his role. I think ORL could surprise they play so well as a team it was scary watching them. I don't know if they can keep it up but they are fun to watch. I though played great the other night and I look at the stat sheet and it was awful. He shows what a good player can be good offensively who puts up bad stats.

EDIT: just about to watch tonight's after the Nuggets game but totally agree Vaughn uses his personal in the best way possible from the 2 game I have watched so far.

Nuggets have some sick throwbacks on

Well, at least they stopped Steve Nash from going to New York.

Question - let me first say the only NBA I have watched so far has been the Pacers games, so I I don't have a wide sample to evaluate. My question is are the refs letting the players play more physically? seems like in the Pacers games they certainly are. Is that league wide. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes I think they are, it looks to me like they are doing it because they are not calling a lot of the flopping and bs fouls that they used to call.

Man, love to work out a trade with Houston. Terrance Jones is rotting on that bench. He'd instantly be the backup PF on our team. What assets though....

    *sigh*

    Heat embarrassed the Nets.

I think the Heat are pretty much unstoppable and will be embarrassing loads of teams. It's almost unfair.

@AlexKennedyNBA: Jamal Crawford hasn't started a game, but he's fourth in scoring with 24 PPG. He trails only James Harden, Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant.

Would be nice to have him here.

Greg Monroe with a long overdue triple double, his first.

Yeah we're 0-5, but it's easier to stomach when our young guys are playing well.

Tayshaun prince is not as good as Kyle singler. Frank needs to balls to explain that to him and tell him he can have his job back when he plays as hard as Kyle does every night.

Isn't Perkin's primary role to simply take up space inside the paint, rebound, block a few shots and defend the low-post?

Yes that used to be his role, now he sucks, Brooks loves to play the s*** out of him, Brooks has a similar man crush on Perkins as the one JOB has on Murphy.

I'm not liking this offense going with Nate dribbling all over the place and shooting some crap in the air.
