The refs said they didn't make a call on the floor.
No they didn't. Bulls players said they did, while the officials, nor the NBA, has commented on that particular aspect. The PA said the call was goaltending before they reviewed it, and said the call was confirmed after, so I'm pretty sure they called it goaltend on the floor. If they didn't they quickly changed it, or atleast changed it prior to the replay.
Update: Under league rules, the referees can only trigger a video review if offensive basket interference was originally called on the play. While a video replay was conducted immediately after the basket, the Chicago Tribune reported that Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau and a number of his players believed that the call wasn’t made in real time, which would invalidate the review process that concluded with Noah’s basket being disallowed.
“They went to the timeout and then they decided they were going to review,” Thibodeau said. “I didn’t see them call it. And I watched on the replay and didn’t see it called there.”Noah, using two expletives, said officials called “basket” on the floor.“It’s very disappointing,” Noah said. “You play the game so hard. I just don’t understand how you can review my tip-in, but two plays before that, you can’t review the other one? There has to be consistency. The refs are doing the best they can. But it cost us the game.”Added Carlos Boozer: “They counted the bucket, put the points up on the board. We’re obviously excited and celebrating. Their bench started screaming to review and (officials) reviewed and took it away.”
Mauer’s statement to the pool reporter, sent out in a release to the media by the Bulls, did not include any clarification on the officials’ process in initiating the review. If a league office review of the play finds that the goaltending video review wasn’t initiated properly, the Bulls can likely expect an official apology.

The max contract has had a strange impact. Now everyone a little above average wants a max deal, and some of them get it since the teams are scared to not do it.

So it's a whole 'nother game, with the goal of picking those few guys who will be max contract guys but better than most of the other max contract guys.

kenneth faried outplaying serge ibaka, man the nuggets totally came out top on the Carmelo trade. Even if the knicks are 3rd seed, it's just because the east conference is so mediocre with all the injuries

this picture is on nba.com, apparently from a week ago. Love's right hand looks... disfigured. is it normal for it to still be so swollen after such a long time? Another setback maybe..

I know Roy's nickname among his teammates is Big Dawg, but one, I'm a Purdue fan, there's only one Big Dawg (however you spell it), and two, it's just cheesy.

So, and this is stolen from a guy on InsideHoops, Roy is henceforth the Kaleidoscope. You can spin the roster any which way you want, but as long as that center's there it's a gorgeous result.

I watched the whole segment with Barkley and Steve Smith coming over from the other studio and with everyone eating ice cream - very funny.

If the pacers don't win the championship I really hope the Grizzlies do, I love how they play and how well they have played since the trade.

Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where George gets ice cream all over his face at that tennis tournament. Thankfully this guy wasn't messy.

This Nuggets team is something else right now. Their streak would be getting a lot more attention if it weren't for the Heat. That win in Oklahoma City was impressive. I think the Harden trade will haunt Oklahoma City in the playoffs. That will go down as one of the worst trades in modern NBA history.

Click "share" just below the video. Then "embed," then just copy and paste the HTML code they give you. On occasion a video won't be embed-able by uploader request, like the one you just linked. But most are.

You can also just right click the video and select Copy embed HTML. Then just paste the code in and you're good.

Can you be fined for flopping if a foul isn't called on the play?

I really like Memphis and have been following them the last 4 years. I was afraid the trading of Gay would really hurt them, but it hasn't. Prince is playing well, and they have a better bench now.

Kendall Gill, Tim Doyle in altercation after Comcast SportsNet taping
Comcast SportsNet Chicago Bulls analyst Kendall Gill has been removed temporarily from his on-air duties after a physical altercation with Big Ten Network analyst Tim Doyle in the CSN newsroom Tuesday evening.

The incident followed the taping of "Sports Talk Live," a panel discussion on Comcast SportsNet Chicago that featured me, Mr. Doyle and Chicago Sun-Times reporter Herb Gould. Mr. Gill confronted Mr. Doyle in the newsroom over critical comments he had made on the air about Mr. Gill's analysis of the controversial final moments of Monday's Chicago Bulls-Denver Nuggets game. The referees ruled that what at first appeared to be a last-second basket by the Bulls would not be allowed, thus giving the win to the Nuggets.

The altercation happened right in front of me as Mr. Doyle and I were walking through the CSN newsroom on our way out of the building.

Mr. Gill approached Mr. Doyle and called him out for his comments, which escalated to a shoving match and ultimately Mr. Gill throwing a punch at Mr. Doyle. The two bumped up against a sign on the wall and a small amount of blood was drawn (though it was unclear exactly how) before the two were separated.

"We're looking further into the incident that took place in our newsroom earlier today," said CSN Chicago news director Kevin Cross in a statement late last night. "Until the investigation is complete, Kendall Gill will not be appearing on our air."

After Monday night's game, Mr. Gill said on the air that the call of basket interference against Bulls center Joakim Noah with 1.7 seconds left in overtime "was a very bad call on the officials' part," a point that Mr. Doyle, a frequent panelist on the show, refuted on air Tuesday evening. The two were also debating the topic before we went live in what appeared to be friendly banter.

Mr. Gill, a former University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign star and 15-year NBA veteran who had a short stint in boxing after his playing career, has been doing pregame and postgame live coverage of Bulls games on CSN Chicago. He has also been a contributor to the Big Ten Network. Mr. Doyle, who played for Northwestern from 2004 to 2007, has been a basketball analyst for the Big Ten Network since 2007.

There's probably more to come on this story in the coming days, but don't be surprised if Mr. Gill is missing from CSN broadcasts before and after Thursday's Bulls game versus Portland.

It was Kendall Gill, not Stacey King? Guess I need to send out a never-will-be-read-apology to King. The lack of common sense looks like a trend, for both me and Mr Gill.
