In other news the Bobcats are currently losing to Sacramento by a score of 105-64.

The fact we lost to these clowns at all is embarrassing. I really hope we don't miss a seed by 1 game!

What did everyone else think of Lebron landing funny on his knee? If his knee is ok he is truly a wonder of science because he landed so awkwardly and with so much force that I thought for sure something was going to be damaged.

I told my girlfriend "if that was somebody else that knee is gone", the guy is a freak.

There are several indications pointing to the likelihood of former Timberwolves head coach Flip Saunders replacing David Kahn as president of basketball operations for the team before the 2013-14 season. Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor wasn't available for comment on the subject Saturday, but he hasn't kept it a secret that Saunders has served as a consultant for him on the basketball team during this season.

Lol at the Knicks, Cavs shooting 22-27 from field, 81.5% midway through the 2nd quarter, Cavs already got 52 points. Hope the Cavs can hang on to the lead.

And Melo went to locker room, tripping over himself, how the game has gone for Knicks.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Great new Chris Paul State Farm insurance commercial.

Reggie trying to throw the pass to Greg Anthony to dunk over a car. Needless to say, does not work out well on both fronts.

Chris Paul shows up to if they need an assist.

Hate watching Philly play. Ugly ball. Boston too.

These teams need to be on TV as much as possible: Golden State, Houston, OKC, SA, Indiana, Memphis, Denver, Portland, Miami.

Any one see the JJ Barea and Ray Allen thing? Gosh even Ray Allen is being a little punk now. Also, what a terrible call.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea, who was ejected Monday night for an altercation with Ray Allen and directed obscenities toward Allen as he left the floor, had strong words for the Heat’s guard after the game.

“I’ve been playing in the NBA seven years,” Barea told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “I get hit harder than that every night. I don’t get up crying, I don’t want to fight. [Former Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew] Bynum almost knocked me out for the rest of my life. I didn’t get up crying. It was just a little bump, it’s part of the game. Don’t be like that.”

Allen said he was surprised by the hard foul. Barea, who thought Allen should have been called for an offensive foul seconds earlier, floored Allen with a hard bump, Allen went after Barea, and the two had to be separated.

Said Allen: “I thought it was uncalled for. There’s no place for that in this game. You’re not scaring me, I’m not backing down. The fact he got ejected by the referees, that was their judgment call. I didn’t egg that on. They made that judgment. I’m just glad I kept my composure. I’ve managed to keep a level head during my career.”

Sorry, but Allen has always been a punk, he just hid it behind his pretty smile. He is soft too.

    No he hasn't...

I don't see the Lakers having a chance in this game..

I have not cared for him since his Sonics days. Maybe not a punk, but similar to KG in that he has always done things to push peoples buttons then cried when the same was done to him. He always complained the loudest about the way Bowen played like he was some kind of choir boy.

Wow we will have a tough time with the officials this coming weekend in Miami. Gosh, expect somebody to get ejected for breathing on LeWade.

While watching the Boston/Philly game, I noticed Jordan Crawford playing for the Celtics. How did Boston get Crawford?

While looking at the box score, I see DJ White and S Randolph are Celtics too. When did they acquire them?

They traded for Jordan Crawford at the deadline.

They signed both D.J. White and Shavlik Randolph to 10 day deals last week when they got back from China.

Shav was putting up a paltry 32 pts and 15 rebs per night over there.

Poor Norris Cole LOL in the midst of the Heat streaking on a 15 game winning streak, Haberstroh writes an article basically calling out Cole for being terrible http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/trueh...ggest-weakness

Jeremy Tyler has been waived. Not sure the Pacers need him, but could be a decent signing.

Delonte West is still out there too....

Like I said before his draft Tyler couldn't play and would be out of the league that still holds true.

I hear ya. Another big I was never high on was Thabeet, but maybe after 4 teams he's found a home in OKC where he's playing 11 MPG, 3 reb, 1 Bs, and 61% FG%. To me he looked like he couldn't walk, chew gum, and rub his stomach at the same time when he came into the league.

I always thought that Thabeet was Calhoun's biggest practical joke on the NBA. If Stanley Robinson had left his junior year instead of his senior, that would have been another good one.

Baron Davis is getting his own television show

If you are reading this blog, you likely are the demographic the new Esquire Network cable channel (formerly G4) is targeting. Or at least you like to think you are. The network is going after the “upscale men” demographic. Just like the tied-in magazine. No, don’t doubt yourself, you totally qualify as upscale.

That network also is giving Baron Davis his own show. The Boom Dizzle.

I’m serious. And when you think about all the other people who have gotten shows this doesn’t seem like the worst idea ever. From Deadline.com (with a thank you to The Basketball Jones):

The half-hour “How I Rock It” (working title), from Ryan Seacrest Prods. and Citizen Jones, host and NBA superstar Baron Davis profiles athletes, musicians, celebrities, designers, influencers and street-style icons whose careers, lives and lifestyles are setting a stylish new standard for today’s modern man.

Just to be clear, Baron Davis and Ryan Seacrest are working together. Did not see that coming.

Davis has done a fair amount of production stuff (did you know he’s one of the guys behind NOC TV videos on YouTube?). He’s good on camera. Maybe this can work. Celebrity profile shows really come back to the host — can he make the guest open up or does it come off like a 30-minute show scripted by a publicist? Is it genuine or artificial?

Davis is great as a person and on camera, and I’ll admit a soft spot for his play and him going back to his days in Westwood. Not sure that makes me watch the show, but I’ll give him a chance when I might have mocked others for doing this.

But if he’s working on television shows don’t look for an NBA comeback.
