I think Chris Paul is a very good comparison. He's not as flashy and different as a passer but he has the same dribbling/penetration ability, a very strong ability to stay in balance after contact, plays under control, etc. you get the sense from both guys that they can score at will but don't in favor of the team. They are different enough though. I don't think there is a great player comparison out there. Maybe if Steph Curry and Chris Paul had a baby.
Curry - hurt all the time -- give him $11M/yr.
Derozan - pretty one dimensional scorer that can't hit a three -- give him $10M/yr!!!!!
Hoiliday - I'm actually not that mad about this one...he's a really good defender for his position which is a premium in a league full of great pgs, and he's gonna get better. He'll be overpaid, but not grossly.
Gordon - hurt all the time - GIVE HIM THE MAX!!
I see another lockout in our near future...Owners are just dumb and that won't change, and they'll ***** and complain but they are the ones agreeing to these deals. Owners can just refuse. Even the Lakers can't sign every high price FA.
I'm not really mad at the Hill deal now. I still think he's overpaid, but looking at what some players are getting, the Pacers really do it right. One of the very few teams, but I guess they learned their lesson from JO and then Murphleavy. 1 or 2 bad contracts can hurt your team for years.
3 scenarios for the draft, starting with my favorite first:
1. Pacers trade up for Justice Winslow
2. Take WCS or Stanley Johnson (this is the theory of a player falling); Make trades (Hibbert/West/others) for additional picks - George Lucas and Rakeem Christmas are players I'd love to have with a late first/early 2nd round
3. Trey Lyles
I'm sure my opinion will change many times before the draft though.
Antonio McDyess is thinking about a comeback
Hope the Knicks sign him, they'd have awesome shuffleboard tournaments
they really gotta get Shaq off TNT, he's just terrible. and he overshadows Webber, who's legitimately outstanding.
"I had to take her down like Chris Brown."
I agree with everyone else completely. Kyrie Irving might be right there with Rondo as my favorite point guard to watch. He has such a smooth game.
Holiday - that one is fine, i agree. Overpaid, but he can live up to it. I don't think he's reached his potential either offensively or defensively yet.
Gordon - we'll see. It doesn't look pretty, but it's something you have to do. Worst case, they'll probably be able to pull off a Joe Johnson to Brooklyn for expirings and picks type of deal.
DeRozan deal is the one that baffles me. You only give that kind of deal if you expect a major improvement this year. Given his play till now, and his slow improvement rate, I think it's much safer and smarter to just let him hit free agency.
hated shaq at first but hes grown on me. i dont really watch it for analysis anyway. i tune in for the comic relief.
anybody catch TYson last night saying he'd woop Chucks ***? Chucks response was classic. he looked right into the camera and got real serious and said "Mike, when you're right you're right". lol

JaJuan Johnson is apparently heading to D-League. I'm a bit surprised that no NBA team has picked him up yet.
I think he's certain to get a call up at some point though.Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
After entering his name into Friday's D-League Draft, forward JaJuan Johnson expected to be No. 1 overall pick to Ft. Wayne, sources tell Y!
The Beard has 22 points on 12 shots for Houston so far. He really might threaten the scoring title, no one else on that team can score.
Harden is great. Just a wow trade.
NY is looking way better with Felton and Kidd playing at the same time, the ball moves better.
18/6 for Tobias Harris against Boston. Just give that kid minutes, he's gonna be good.
btw Lillard is incredible.
