"I think change is needed, top to bottom," Nets star Deron Williams told CBSSports.com Friday night, becoming the league's first high-profile player to call for Hunter's ouster as executive director of the National Basketball Players Association.

"I don't think things were getting voted on like they should have been," Williams said. "... I'm sure there's guys that are still with Billy, and some guys that aren't. We've just got to figure out what the next step is."

Just when I thought Boston was going to start clicking they drop two games at home, maybe age really is catching up with them. Pierce deserves to make the all star team but I have a tough time rewarding a one game over .500 team 3 all stars. I guess if they have 3 all stars then their chemistry just sucks or something.

Also, Boozer with 20 rebounds tonight. That never would have happened if Kevin Garnett was still alive.

Wait, you say he's a starter on the all star team? Well I'll be....

I feel bad for DC, they keep showing him cheer on the bench while Mike James closes the 4th and overtime.

If last year was a legit full season, I don't think Boston would have went to the ECF. A lot of people talked about how the Pacers benefited from the shortened season, but i really think the aging Celtics were the ones who needed it most. I didn't expect Boston to truly contend this year. Losing Allen, Garnett having to play a full 82 games, just too much. They can still prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

Seriously, Mike James? That's the shot that you think your team should take?

I don't understand why Mike James was on the court at the end of the 4th and the entire overtime. At all.

They deserved to lose for leaving that guy out there for so long. Mayo, Nowitzki, Brand, Carter, and James on the court and Mike James takes the biggest shot of the game. Comical.

He was good for one year and fooled a team to give him a huge contract.

Source with a team interested in Rudy Gay: the Gay-for-Jared Dudley/Michael Beasley deal was leaked in order to

generate more offers from around the league. The response when other GMs heard about the offer was, "Hey, we can do better than that." The Grizzlies, if they are going to move Gay, want a young SF on a smaller contract and a draft pick. The Wizards, as has been reported, will not put Bradley Beal in the deal and can only offer players (Trevor Ariza, Emeka Okafor) who would save the Grizzlies from incurring the super luxury tax in two years, not a luxury-tax hit this summer. Same goes for the Warriors, who would have to include Richard Jefferson or Andris Biedrins, both of whom have player options for next season that they're expected to keep.

That's what I've been saying, they want to avoid the LT while getting a decent Player in return to help them in the Playoffs......and some Team is going to offer the Grizzlies a solid Player on a Rookie Contract, a draft pick and an Expiring Contract for Rudy...and the Grizzlies will take it.

I don't particularly want to trade Danny, but I do see the upcoming financial squeeze (I'll call it a "squeeze," not a "crisis"). If Donny IS thinking about trading him this season (given health & imminent productivity), he should balance immediate team needs with longer-term flexibility. Moreover, Donny always tries to keep the player's wishes in mind, essentially implying that Granger only would be traded to a playoff-bound team in the Western Conference. One of my preferred ideas, given the above chatter, is a three-way between us, Charlotte & Memphis:

Charlotte receives: R Gay ... A quality still-young piece on which to build (and which they can afford for now)
Memphis receives: D Granger, Indiana's #1 ... An older SF, I know, but above all they want to cut salary, and if they can get financial breathing room, improve their draft status AND maintain contender-status, I think they'd chew on it.
Indiana receives: B Gordon, Charlotte's #1 (lottery-protected) ... Whether in the starting lineup or off the bench, Gordon would become our closer. He's $600-$800k cheaper than Danny, plus we get a draft boost (in '14).
"I'd run through a brick wall for that man."

It's just quotes from Marc Stein and Chad Ford. No "sources" are cited or anything. It's two media guys throwing crap against the wall.
