Just goes to show how bad the East is after about 5 or 6. The bottom of the east is so bad.

Watched the Pistons last night total domination of the Bucks. Also saw the end of the memphis game what a game, terrible defense by Gay at the end of regulation really lack of awareness almost cost them the game.

Hornets are playing good since EJ is back. I think Minney is done may be Kahn's last year , but maybe he has injury as excuses but I don't see how you can keep him.
I hope you're not excluding the Celtics. They're on a five game winning streak against good competition. They might make the conference finals again if they can avoid the Heat's side of the bracket.

But it'd be fantastic if the Pistons made the playoffs, even to get swept by the Heat. They'd give their draft pick to Charlotte, and the last thing the Pistons need is another young player.

Right now, I don't think the heat are capable of sweeping anyone. I really couldn't care any less if we hand over the #15 pick in this crap draft to the bobcats, either.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

How many rebounds will Cousins have against the Heat? Gotta be at least 30.

Cousins has been held to 23 points and 20 boards in three games versus Miami.

A lot of upsets in tonight's games.

Magic beat Clippers, killing the Clip's 13-gome home win streak.
Wizards killed the Hawks in Wall's season debut. What's with their slump?
76ers shoot down the Rockets with Holiday's 30. He's having a great season BTW.
The Suns burned the Bulls, at Chicago. The Bulls are only 0.500 at home this season.
The Mavs knocked down the Grizzlies. Almost everybody from the Mavs were clicking tonight.

With the Pacers' win and Bulls' loss, they made a 2-game separation for the top in Central, and more importantly, inched closer to #2 with a 0.5-game separation to the Knicks.

I know that we've beaten some injury riddled and Lottery bound Teams lately....but given that we've been injured as well.....the Pacers have the 8th Best record in the League.

EJ doesn't look right out there. The way he is getting up and down the court isn't like he normally would. Can't put my finger on it but he just doesnt look right. Melo has been streaky lately terrible 1st great 2nd. The Knicks need to defend better if they want to contend not good lately. Love listening to Walt Frazier and Breen great team I could listen to everyday.

Why do they sag off all the Knicks shooters? And sometimes I swear they have 2 people guarding one person off the ball and ignore someone else.

The New Orleans Hornets are bad at guarding the 3 point lane. They are allowing their opponent to shoot 36.6 and are tied for 22nd along with Boston (which will be improving since Bradley came back). Here's the data -> http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat...hree-point-pct

We all remember Paul George's game first game against them this year, don't we?

    Harden turned down 4/52 mil.

    http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.c...-from-thunder/

Just give him the 4/60 max. What difference does 2 mil a year make when your team's far capped out either way?
The question is how much $2 mil per year of LT costs under the new CBA. I thought that the LT Penalty is significantly worse under the new CBA.

New Orleans was even worse when we played them for the first time as far as I recall. But yeah the Nets are worse atm.

However, Charlotte and Phoenix are shockingly bad. I mean, 39.1% and 39.2% respectively. How do you allow a team to shoot that good from 3? Do you just stop covering them once they step outside the arc?

If they are just 2 million over the tax line, it will cost the team 5 million.

Larry Coon has a spreadsheet that can be used to calculate a team's luxury tax hit:

That's 5 Mil a year over each of the next 4 years for the Thunder. I assume that they could have won at least 1 championship with Harden....that's got to be worth the extra $20 mil, right?

The Hornets against the Knicks today would sag into the paint whenever Prigioni started to do a pick and roll. They also ran over and tried to double Melo and rotated poorly. Twice I saw two people guarding one guy, leaving another one wide open.

So... I assume something like that. Green was wide open against the Bobcats all night, but he missed them anyway.

I keep trying to explain to Knicks fans why they are losing to teams with good 3pt defense, but they don't seem to understand.

    http://www.beyondthebuzzer.com/2013/...g-for-15-days/

Carmelo Anthony has been fasting for 15 days and says he has struggled to find energy during that time. “I usually do it to get some clarity in my life and spiritual reasons…But I’m done now.”“It’s a long story, man,” he said of his fast. “I haven’t had a good meal in about two and a half weeks. No meats, no carbs, anything like that. So I don’t know how I was out there competing at high level. It’s been some games this past week where your body just feels depleted out there and you’re trying to find a way to get some energy….But I surrender, I’m done. I’m going to get some food right now.”
In more diet news, Amar’e Stoudemire said he’s been a vegan for the past 3 moths – not eating meat, dairy or sugar.
