I'm on the CDR bandwagon too. I say sign Delonte West too.
If CDR has "red flags" the Delonte must have signal flares, foghorns, and a loud robot saying "Danger, Will Robinson" over and over again.

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Green Monroe scored 35 points (on 22 shots), grabs 10 boards and also gets 2 assists and 2 steals but the Pistons lose to the Raptors.

    Poor Greg
Greg was the one I wanted to be drafted by the Pacers. Too bad he got picked up early as he's supposed to be. But we're still lucky with PG.

I always liked Greg Monroe as well. One of the best young bigs and one of my favourite bigs currently in the league.

Amar'e sent to the D-League. It's rare for a team to use their D-League affiliate for rehabbing their injured main guys.

Kawhi Leonard was sent to the D-League too. It's rare because this is the first season that teams are allowed to do so. I bet that we're going to see it a lot more from now on

Wow...didn't know that one. It will make injured players get into the groove faster while not playing for their home team.

That's exactly why they did it

My guess is that Danny will probably get some run there before he dresses for a Pacers game when he returns.

ya Aminu appears to be out of the rotation for the Hornets. Lance Thomas started for him tonight lol.

CP3 just got his 5,000 career dime.

I feel sorry that he has to spend 2/3 of the game playing with Charlie villanueva and Jason maxiell...

....soooooo much dead weight on this team. So many players that won't be here next year. Maggette, Villanueva, Bynum, Daye, Maxiell, jerebko....

Well they're apparently shopping Daye so y'know, it's somethin! Detroit is a pretty confounding team, would be hard to be a fan of them right now.

Jerebko might still work out. He works his *** off, he just can't find the niche he had a couple years ago. He's been awful this year despite being a consummate hard worker and team player. Id just as soon dump him.

Which I find hilarious because how do you shop someone that can't play? Trade him for DJ Augustine?

It isn't as hopeless as you'd think. Our 2nd best player is 19 and only plays 18 minutes a game. Meanwhile, maxiell can't play dead and he starts and finishes every game.

Our record gets an immediate boost the second Drummond moves into the starting lineup, but Lawrence frank is pretty much under orders to let this ship sink until further notice. We're gunning for a top-3pick.

Frank's quote about not starting Drummond yesterday: "there are things we're privy to that the fans aren't. We're thinking long term."

Detroit doesn't have a bad future. They have quality youngsters. They just have horrible vets. Once they get rid of them, they could be on to something.

That's what I mean, they've got a lot of young talent between Monroe, Drummond, Knight, Stuckey's still plenty young. Then they go out and get Maggette, re-sign Prince, it's just weird.

We got maggette because he had an expiring contract. Tayshaun I'm fine with. You need one veteran even on a young team.

Yep. It's vague enough where it could mean any number of things, but easy enough to read between the lines.

I'm thinking by February or march when we're more or less anchored in last place, frank will have a sudden epiphany that Drummond should be starting, to drum up fan interest for next season without sacrificing lottery balls.

We don't really need to try to lose. Our roster is full of expiring contracts that can't play, but it's pretty clear that we're playing our poorest performing combinations at the end of every close game. Not coincidentally, our record in close games is hilariously bad.

D'Antoni: Pau has to shoot 3s

"I don't find (playing with Howard) tough," Gasol said as he stood at the loading dock. "It's more the system right now that makes it tough at times, because (D'Antoni) wants four guys to be spread and one interior guy and it's a guard-oriented system, so that makes it tough.

"I think there's enough looks for both of us. But again, it's not a system that you post up a lot, so we'll see. We've just got to figure it out, but if you've got two great post-up players, you've got to utilize it."

Before the game, D'Antoni reiterated that Howard would be a focal point in the paint but that Gasol would have to adjust.

"It's Pau who has to expand his game, and he'll expand out in the corner threes and he needs to take a couple, and we'll get him in the post when we can," D'Antoni said, emphasizing those last three words as if to pound the point that he's making no promises to Pau. "But if we can't, we'll just get him relaxed and then everything will be good…Just try to figure out how we're going to win, how we're going to co-exist."

Bryant, who isn't the one being paid to manage the team, was far more willing to demand that Gasol play in the paint.

"I don't think he's going to have a new role (than previous seasons); he's not," said Bryant, who had 30 points, seven assists and six rebounds. "No. We're going to post him. We're going to put him at the elbow. He can obviously make plays on the perimeter, and he will because he's skillful enough to do it, but we're going to play to his strengths – for sure.

"Like I said, we're going to post him. Mike knows that. We'll move him around a lot, because Pau can do a lot…We're going to post him because that's what he does best."
