    Except for his .289 FG%, of course. That's D.J. Augustin-esque.

I made the same question in the past here but from what i recall nobody had answered so here it goes.
Under all these bleak years under Jim O'Brien and the poor playing personnel why didn't we tank a season in order to get a high draft pick?I am in no favour of tanking in general but since it was clear that we were heading nowhere for some years, why didn't we do that?

    A couple reasons.

    1) You play to win the game. There is no honor in losing.
    2) Losing begets losing. There are winning and losing cultures. If you lose on purpose, you throw your culture away and doom yourself to more losing.

I'm all about doing what it takes to put yourself in the best position to win a championship, but even I can't get behind tanking on purpose.

Now, a better question might be, during those awful years, why did we ride washed up veterans like Posey, Murphy, etc instead of playing and developing our youth? Well, that answer is easy. We had a bad coach and bad management.

Those 2 points are correct and i get you.But would it harm for one season?I mean i think they were finishing those seasons with a negative record, would it hurt that much if the margin was bigger for one season?Couldn't the tank be more "controllable" and not reach Bobcats level?

Why do the Pistons not play Greg and Andre together at end of games?

Great news for Pacer fans!! Pistons playing in double overtime game in Brooklyn tonight. Fantastic game if you've tuned in after the Pacer game was over.

Great game coming up between Denver and Memphis.

Well, you won't be alone eating that New York crow alone. I remember lengthy arguments about how overrated Melo is, he's just a loser, a gunner, Granger is as good or better than him.

Meanwhile he's having an MVP caliber season. 28-6-2 on 46.5% from the field, 44% from deep.
I remember people last year (I may have been one of those silly people too) talking about how it would make sense for both sides trading Granger for Melo. Unfortunately the Knicks weren't that silly, and I'm a Granger fan.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

    Don't you mean at all?

They have played less than 10 minutes together combined for the season.

You can come up with a hundred different reasons. My guess is were tanking. That's the only justification to playing a guy with 2 rebounds 38 minutes while the guy with 9 and 3 blocks plays 18.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Factually, according to NBA.com, Monroe and Drummond have played 66 minutes and 30 seconds together, and have a plus/minus of -4. It's the 8th best player combination involving Drummond. Of course, two of those include Austin Daye and Khris Middleton, so it's really the 6th best combination involving Drummond.

Kyrie Irving has a broken jaw. He's going to wear a mask and keep playing, but man that guy's about made of glass.

I dunno. Broken jaw doesn't scream injury prone to me. I haven't been following the other injuries though.

He has had several injuries in his still young career but he rarely injures the same spot twice. He has no lingering issues but he gets injured a lot. So, he's probably really unlucky.
