I think the pistons could fight their way back to .500. They seem to have found something in stuckey being knights backup, and having Drummond out there to protect Villanueva on defense.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Looked at it again. It's hard to tell in real time, but I think you're right. Looks like his left foot was down before he caught it. Good footwork. Still not impressed with the dunk.
yeah, it seems so at first glance, everyone else in that frame takes 3-4 steps in that same span, but it's two clean steps if not just one (hard to see when he gathers exactly).

    JJ is better.
That's not even close. I like Kemba, but his is a basic crossover. That JJ dribbling is beautiful. If only Paul could dribble like that.

Thunder have also dropped from 4th in PnR offense to 27th, while Harden remains the single most efficient PnR player in the league. Lack of simple options on offense will hurt OKC down the road.

I can't believe that after everything so far this year, people are still underestimating Harden.
Whats so impressive about him ? Yes he is a good player, but scoring 24 ppg with 42% FG percentage is not something on a mediocre team. I watched Houston quite a lot,he does not hesitate to take thoose shots and i doubt this team will make playoffs at all. Okc is completely fine without Harden.

His team won't make the playoffs because they are the youngest team in the NBA by far, and they lack talent. And Harden's taking shots because he's by far the best offensive player on a team that lacks scoring options. Lin is a negative right now offensively. So is Asik. They don't have a good pick and roll big man, either.

Gregg Popovich is punting against the Heat and will hold Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green out of Thursday's game to give them a night of rest.

I understand the need to rest vets, but this seems a little extreme, to intentionally go belly-up in a national TV game, in November no less. Did they hire Polian and Dungy?

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Pop doesn't give a damn about the national schedule. Never has, never will.

4th game in 5 nights, on the road against the defending champs, they were probably going to lose anyway. So why not rest guys? They've got a home game against Memphis Saturday too. I don't have a problem with it.

But I admire LeBron's position (similar to Jordan's) where he says that he never wants to sit out because there's probably someone at the game who bought a ticket to see him play, so he wants to go out there if possible.

Sitting Danny green is a total joke. He's 25 years old and plays a whopping 31 minutes a game.

You want to let the greybeards rest? That's fine. But sitting out a young player is just sending a middle finger to the nba that you just don't give a ****.

At first I didn't really care, but ruminating on it a bit Pop should get reprimanded, something. Duncan and Manu I get. Parker's younger than people realize but has a ton of miles, so OK I guess. But c'mon, Danny Green? This is tantamount to throwing a game. At the very least it's pretty blatant disrespect for the fans. Even if they are Miami fans.

Stern issued an apology to fans and said "substantial sanctions" are forthcoming. So the Spurs and Pop are going to get their asses fined off.

My fantasy team has been screwed today. Parker and Green aren't playing and Rondo is suspended for 2 games. I hate you, Stern and Poppovich.

I wouldn't put it past David stern to suspend poppovich for 4-5 games on top of fining both him and the spurs as a franchise.

If Vogel, or Larry Frank, or Mike Dunlap, or any other relative nobody coach did this people'd be screaming about them throwing the game and having Donaghy on speed dial.

Next time they could start taking away draft picks.

Is a pretty slippery slope. Dozens of guys rest at the end of the year once the playoffs are decided. What then?

At the end of the day he can do whatever he wants. How are they gonna punish him?On what grounds?Has he signed a contract with the league that says he must field every night his best team?
Don't get me wrong, it sucks for those who will attend the game but typically has he violated any rule?
