Things should become very interesting with the Knicks once Amare returns, but for now, everything is going well for them for the first time in a long time.

I deal with autism w/ major anxiety/depression issues and I see part of where Royce White is coming from, but he needs to decide if playing in the NBA is worth the struggle for him, it's not everybody else's fault, depending on type of anxiety issues the fault can lie in a lot of directions, a lot of them turn to him though and his decision to pursue something that he obviously doesn't enjoy (everyone deals with it differently so I can't totally lash out on someone). He's not going to survive the NBA with about a 99% chance going this way, but yes I think there's a lot more things going on with him, maybe some OCD or other things.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

I just have a really hard time feeling bad for White, and it has NOTHING to do with me thinking his anxiety issues are anything but completely serious challenges. He's just a dickhead at this point. Houston has done all they can and the dude's whining about playing time. Look at the rest of Houston's rookies, look at the vast majority of mid-late 1st round draft picks rookie years in the last...forever. This seems like a lot more narcissism than anxiety.

If he can't deal with it then that sucks, but pursue another line of work. He's the one that bailed on a free degree early, this is clearly what he wanted. Take your guaranteed money, finish your degree, and get a real job. No one's taking his mental problems lightly, but the guy's using them as a crutch. He doesn't have schizophrenia, people go through way worse than him every day. This seems like more a problem with his past history to me than it does his anxiety problems. He feels entitled.

I don't know if that's true, but if it is, **** this guy. It's one thing to have a mental issue. I've struggled with anxiety issues since I was a teenager. It's another thing to use it as a reason to get out of contractual obligation and as an excuse. Mental illness has a long history of not being respected and crap like this just makes it look worse.

Amen. There are people that deal with panic attacks and those that don't. Those that don't might feel like they have a grasp on what a panic attack can do to you but unless you have had them you have no idea. I haven't had one in a long time but believe me I don't wish it on anyone. There are physical conditions that can contribute sometimes. I think mine were caused by MVP(slight heart murmur) a condition not usually serious but can cause a laundry list of symptoms including panic. I have had to deal with this playing music on stage before in the past so I have a good idea what an athlete might go through.

In an odd twist of fate, Rodney stuckey has volunteered to come off the bench. Can't say I expected that.

I'm posting info here but I'm not sure if anybody is reading anything.

@sam_amick: Tough loss for Spurs w/ Kawhi Leonard on shelf for 10-14 days (left knee tendinitis) - stud defender held Melo to 9 pts in 40 min last night

Much better role for him. The Pistons should trade him as soon as they find a good offer, though.

The article would have been funnier if we were still 0-8.

And if the pistons pictured weren't Carlos defino and Linsey hunter....

as MG would say Damian Lillard y'all

Leonard has been great tonight and Batum is fantastic.Damian is clutch as hell took the game over I love that kid lets see if they can win it now.

EDIT: Wow Marcus Morris drills a 3 to tie it dude hasn't missed all night it seems.

Damian taking over in OT now scored 15 of his teams last 17

He has done it all guarded by Douglas and Parsons not Lin.

How is Toney Douglas still in the NBA? He's one of the worst players of the last few years but gets chance after chance. Playing with 4 men might be better than having his sorry *** out there.

He is known for his defense he is terrible on offense. But Lin was getting exposed so they put Tony in. The points were mainly on Parsons though they kept getting stuck switching and Lillard and Aldridge killed them down the stretch.

Dammit, Lillard was my favorite in the draft. Man, he'd have looked so good in a Pacers uni. And since he's a bit of a combo guard, he'd probably succeed here.
Lance + Starting SG = Awesome

    Now really free Lance!

There's a rumor that the Jazz are shopping Burks...

    Sam Amico Sam Amico ‏@SamAmicoFSO

Word around NBA is Jazz G Alec Burks is available. Burks, the 12th overall draft pick in 2011, has played in just 5 of Jazz's 10 games.
He's a guy I liked back in the 2011 draft. Think he could be a nice fit here. A bit strange though that the Jazz are giving up on him already. It's not like they can't afford to be patient.

That's pretty strange, yeah. His ball handling/passing would help our back court, but red flags should be up.

WTF? Burks is good. Depends what they want, but if it'd be like Pendergraph + our 1st I'm all over it.

I liked Burks in the 011 draft, but knew trhe Pacers never had a shot at getting him. My puter is so slow it's an absolute PITA trying to scout the daily scores this season. I noticed this morning b4 I read your post Burks didn't play in last nites Jazz game. I wondered if he was injured when I saw it.

I'd definately be interested in Burks. "IF" the Pacers start playing to their capibilities, Burks would be better than than any player that would be available to them in the 013 draft.
