But forgot to block out that may very well cost them the game. Batum and PG24 are so similar defensive studs who can shoot. That was a huge mistake can't forget to blockout he had inside position just block out and the board was his. Really soft play by Batum there.

Which play are you referring to? (edit: I see, thanks)

Also, Aldridge + Batum + Lillard = 82 pts and the Blazers still lost to the Parker-less Spurs. Portland's big 3 needs help (their bench scored... 4 pts!)

Batum is much better of a shooter and moving w/o the ball than PG

Your signature, you agree or disagree with Bill Simmons there. Might want to update that.

Speaking of which, I need to update mine too.
That was a qoute from Bill Simmons right after the loss @ Atlanta a few days ago and at the time I agreed with it. Since then Lance has played well, so yea I think I need to change my signature...lol

Great Russ game on right now. He's just caught fire from 3. Love it when they play him off the ball and Maynor handles the ball.

Am I allowed to say that I like Kevin Martin for this Thunder team? The Maynor/Martin combo is not a HUGE drop off from Harden.

I'm watching a Denver/GS replay from last night, and I am intrigued by this GS team. But David Lee gets away with traveling violations...a lot. He seems to take an extra step on every drive to the basket. Maybe it's just this game, but jeez.

Andris Biedrins looks out of place. His haircut makes him look like he belongs in a black and white sitcom lol

Golden State intrigues me as well. Too bad Andrew Bogut is a lemon and can't stay healthy. I wasn't a big Monta fan and think Bogut is a superior player when healthy, but he has proven time and again that he can't stay healthy. That's a great "what if" team.

Lee does get away with travels a lot--you know who else does? Roy Hibbert. What's sad is that Roy still gets called for quite a few. He shuffles his feet a ton in the post.

I said before the season that the Knicks had a good chance at being better than the Pacers. It ain't even close right now.
Did you also expect Granger to be out for 3 months?

Not having Amare is a bad thing for this team how? He takes away shots from Melo, he is a terrible defender and not very good as a rebounder. If I were the Knicks I would dump Amare for just about anything if I could.

The Knicks issues were that they didn't have a point guard that could help with the flow of the game, Felton is doing that, Amare is still a force to be reckon with and nope I don't think he is a bad rebounder either, 8.8rpg for his career is not bad.

By the way I know a power forward that is a worse defender and rebounder than Amare but he is somehow a god around here, if makes no sense, well I guess it does...

It's amazing to me that you think Amare is a good rebounder and West is not, when their per minute career rebounds are nearly identical. This is not to say that West is a good rebounder either (notice you made the comparison first, not me), but it is to say that if you find Amare to be at least a decent rebounder, then so is West.

IMO, the Knicks having both Amare and Melo is about the same as the Pacers hypothetically signing Rudy Gay to play alongside Danny Granger. Yes, you can point out that Gay uses his athleticism to get by guys while Danny uses the threat of his jump shot to give him some space to work with. But they fill the same exact role and without a creative game plan would just get in each other's way.

The more Paul George evolves the more he looks to me like Rudy Gay, I don't agree with what you are saying.

Rudy Gay's offensive game is offended. Though I agree this is Paul's ceiling if he suddenly becomes a 20 PPG guy.

Then why isn't PG scoring ~20ppg? Even on a horrendous shooting year thus far, Gay is still getting his points. PG still depends on others to create opportunites for him to score a lot. He isn't the one creating the situations where guys have to choose who to leave uncovered. He's getting more aggressive, but he's still a complementary scorer.

He doesn't need to score 20ppg to be effective, it's the Pacers front office fault that they decided not to sign an scoring machine, I rather have Paul George scoring 14/15/16ppg, and getting 9rpg while playing shut down defense than jacking up shots and playing D went he feels like it ala Danny Granger, why the same people that are down on Paul George's start this year were not down on Danny all last year?

Call me crazy but PG's start this year is better than Danny's start at the same time last year and not many here were saying s***.

It's the same thing I've been saying on here for the past year, all the people that put crazy expectations on Paul were going to be disappointed. Fact is on the list of reasons the Pacers are under .500 right now, Paul's name probably wouldn't even appear.

Reread my post without the assumption that I'm upset at his production. I'm not down on PG at all. I'm not upset he's not scoring at such a high rate because I never expected him to. He's not that kind of player. Which is why he fits with Danny Granger and Rudy Gay wouldn't.

But beside the point, that's just an analogy that I was using to explain why I thought Amare and Carmelo have problems fitting together. They like the same spots on the floor, and they like the same role on the team.

If PG could get to the line 4 times a game (so shooting 8 FTS), then he probably could avg 20.
Lance + Starting SG = Awesome

    Now really free Lance!
