Chuck Pagano out of the hospital, watched Coltsí win at home

Posted by Michael David Smith on October 21, 2012, 4:41 PM EDT

Colts coach Chuck Pagano is out of the hospital and recovering at home as he continues to fight leukemia.

The Colts confirmed after todayís win over the Browns that Pagano had been watching the game from home. After being diagnosed with leukemia during the Coltsí bye week, Pagano had watched the teamís last two games from his hospital room.

Indianapolis is now 2-1 since offensive coordinator Bruce Arians took over as the interim head coach in Paganoís absence, and their solid play without him has surely helped lift his spirits. To a man, the players and coaches who have visited Pagano in the hospital have come back saying that Pagano wanted more than anything to talk about football and to see the Colts play well.

Pagano still has a long recovery ahead of him and is not expected to return to his head-coaching duties at all this season. But after delivering a game ball to his hospital room two weeks ago, itís a positive sign that the Colts can now deliver a game ball to his home.
