No worries, not working for me either. The pick after yours is for avoidingtheclowns and we are drafting manually for him, since he is unavailable. We should be able to hold your pick until we can all get back on. Either way, we'll make it work out right.

Yeah, timing out for me too.

The last time I got through to the front page I think it said that a trade of pick #58 (Gnaw Bone) for #51 (Bangkok) was accepted.

FYI: This trade also carries with it the proviso that Bangkok has the option to flip 3rd round picks next year, in other words, if my 3rd pick comes before his 3rd pick next year, we swap.

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Got it, I was in the process of starting an ongoing thread on .ws to track draft pick trades for next year, so we could keep a running record. Then it timed out, so not sure if it will be there or not when we are back online.

That trade is fine with me, just wondering when can you start offering 2013 draft picks in anyway an owner sees fit in a deal with another owner?

Ok, like I said, I have no problem with this trade, which is what it is, but this draft wasnt over yet and the draft for next year is involved to make the deal possible/happen. That's allowed, stictly looking at it in a formal way?

Its a good question, what have we done in the past? My only thoughts are to not allow teams to trade multiple future picks prior to the current draft. I think a team could gut a teams future and then abandon the team the next year. Does that make sense? Otherwise, I'm good for whatever the majority of the league wants to do.

Just an FYI, from what I recall, without me pulling up my old files, draft picks were only for the current years draft, specifically so things don't get so muddied up for a variety of reasons.
Hey! What're you kicking me for? You want me to ask? All right, I'll ask! Ma'am, where do the high school girls hang out in this town?

That's my recollection aswell as I remember getting called back when I offered a future pick in a trade topic as one of several assets.

Anyway, like I said I have no problem with this deal. I would have a problem with it IF say a player with decent value or 1st and 2nd round picks were involved.

We could let this one pass without issue and for the future demand that a deal involving future picks be put up for voting, though that does put up the risk of favoritism being introduced.

Yeah, I guess didn't think about it but I wanted to give James SOMETHING for the 51/58 trade. Neither of us is "out" of any pick next year.

I figure I will be better than him anyway this year, so I'll pick lower and he won't want to swap.

You should always use that when making a joke.

Plus the only way you'll finish ahead of me is if the Myan's were right... botta bing botta boom.
