Here's a good interview with the filmmaker of this project:

And understand, this project is still in need of funding. I'm not affiliated with it in any way, but I would encourage donations. Here is the best way to contribute online:

I'm not going to give much but I plan on chipping in at least $5.

Thanks or I would have missed it. Contribution made.

The fact that people at ESPN do not know who Roger Brown is feeds my escalating contempt for the Mothership.

The fact that Roger is not in the HOF is a real shame, and to anyone who didn't get to see him play missed a treat!

Talent wise, he clearly belongs in the Hall. But he just didn't play long enough in my opinion, and that's not necessarily his fault. McGinnis and Slick should be the next two Pacers to get in.

Agreed, I think we need to get Slick in ASAP and then the rest will follow.

Everyone who votes for the hall of fame should get a dvd copy sent to them. There are a lot of well known basketball people who are telling how great Roger was. What more do you need?

So nice to have you on here. His playing days were over by the time I was born but the Pacers have always meant so much to me and he is an incredible part of their history (I have taken an extreme liking to anything ABA related). We can't do much but it would be nice to see him get the credit he deserves.

The fact anyone says Rajah did not play long enough for the HOF needs to remember that wasn't his choice. The NBA robbed him of his prime years for something he was innocent of. Roger Brown was a HOF player and person and deserves a spot in the HOF, THE WRONG THE NBA DID TO HIM NEEDS TO BE RIGHTED.

Yes there is lot that any Fan of his or the Pacers can do...heck any Fan of Basketball. You can go to wfyi.org/rogerbrown/ and help make sure this documentary is given the chance to be broadcast to millions, you can also get updated information and history on Dad on Facebook. He belongs in the HOF and so does Slick as well as countless other ABA players that made the game great Roger Brown was the FIRST PACER and he should be recognized not only for his contribution to the Pacer franchise but to Indiana and all the people who lives he touched. I thank God for Mr. Ted Green for getting his story told.

In the book about the ABA "Loose Balls", Dr. J has lot's of nice things to say about the Pacers and Roger Brown, great read if you haven't read it. The Doc says Roger was one of the top 5 players he ever played against, ABA and NBA.

One of the maybe 4 or 5 times I ever saw my dad shed a tear was watching Roger's memorial service on tv.

He was (and remains) an icon to many of us. God bless.

Hopefully this is offered somehow for those of us who are out of state... I've been trying to promote it for awhile but won't be able to see it just yet.

Agreed. Would love to know if it gets aired on other stations, or if (hopefully) it gets released on DVD.

    Inspirational, touching, sad, happy, Proud.

Sometimes you see things in life that make you understand why some things are. I have never really truly known why I was a Pacers fan, I just have been all of my life.

But seeing this kind of brings it home for me, this team is really more like a family. I don't know if every team in the NBA is like this, I imagine some are. But you look around the fieldhouse on any given night and you will see Dr. Dunk, Derrick Mckey, Big Mac, Rik Smits, Billy Keller and others and you know that old Pacers always have a home.

Our intro every night starts off with the announcer proclaiming that the Indiana Pacers have won the ABA title and it then goes on to show every player to ever play for our team.

But the one player that stands above the rest was Roger Brown.

Sadly I was to young to actually have seen him play but in watching those old video clips recently I am completely convinced that this guy was a cut above. The Indiana Pacers did have a superstar, one who was on the level of a Jordan, Bird, Magic, Oscar, etc.

When Kareem speaks and says what he says I listen. Then to hear the Big O and Dr. J talk about him, not to mention the Ice Man.

Pacer fans back in the day were blessed. Pacers fans in the late 90's were blessed with a very similar family group of players. Pacer fans today are equally blessed as we have that same type of togetherness and quality play.

Like I said it all meant something to me. It helped me understand why I have put so much of my time, energy, heart & soul into this franchise. This team has just always been special and there is a bond that is shared between the team and with the die hard fans who support this team through both good times and bad.

To quote Dr. J "The Pacers were the class of the league & Roger was the class of the class".

Roger Brown the greatest Indiana Pacer.

I didn't follow the Pacers their first couple of seasons. I jumped on in 1969-70. I didn't know the background of Roger Brown but he quickly became my favorite Pacer. In fact he still is my all-time favorite Pacer.

The Pacers of the 90's were good and the current group of players looklike they could also be something special but it will be extremely touhg, if not impossible, to beat those ABA teams. As others have mentioned, Brown, Daniels, Lewis, McGinnis, Neto, Slick, those guys were GREAT! Not only were they a great team and fun to watch, they were also family as can be seen in the movie.
