There's still time for the team I claim to be a fan of to lose so that I can pretend to be right on a message board even though they've already won more games than I predicted.

Very sad state of affairs for one self-proclaimed fan.
I will be happy to be wrong about how many losses they take this year. By the way, I can't even read that green type. I didn't know what it said until I was doing the reply.

the problem is if the Colts would have drafted RGIII, Ol'blue would be saying we should have drafted Luck right now

Yeah, Luck is 3-3. RG3 is 3-4. They both had 2 TDs and a turnover today. Weeden aired it out in a loss, because he was behind and had no running game. How exactly is Luck "behind" these guys? He's the only one of the three who won, anyway.
QB rating. When you are only a little over being a 50% passer you won't rate very highly. RGIII is over 70%. RGIII plays in the toughest division in the NFL and the Colts play in the weakest..... That will make a difference in the record. I look for Washington to finish from 6-10 to 8-8. They have a very touch schedule. I don't expect the Colts to be close to that but I will be pleasantly surprised if they are.....

"Certain members" are trying to make me feel the same way about Luck, so yeah this goes for both sides, in my case I like both players a lot so it would be hard for me to hate either player.

"Certain members" love to crap on RG3 so they can feel better about themself and don't recognize how good the guy is, I do talk about RG3 but I also recognize that Luck is pretty damn good.
I was talking about your boy Blu. Don't be so eager to feel slighted.

I agree with this I had my doubts about RG3 but he really has been rather impressive at this point that being said its his style of play that worries me because I'm not sure how long he'd last on the field.

I think both teams chose the right player for them.

No, I wouldn't. I would be saying just what I am saying that the Colts should not have drafted either one of them. Keep Manning and take all of those draft picks and get several starters and a QB to develop. You would win a lot more games over the next ten years if the they had done that......

I don't hate either player but given this is a Colts forum, it makes no sense to hate on Luck here. The only reason people point out RG3 mishaps is because a "certain poster" continuously attacks Luck and claims we should have drafted RG3. The disdain for RG3 is just a byproduct of many poster's disdain for RG3's biggest fan.
If you are talking about me, I don't think they should have drafted RGIII either..... They needed all of those draft picks they would have pocketed and they could have picked a QB lower to develop behind Peyton Manning. I did think from long before the season that RGIII was going to be a star and Luck would struggle. I think the stats and what they do for their team proves that to be true. Luck may develop into a good QB over three or four years but RGIII will have already been a star all of those years.... I don't think RGIII's odds of being hurt are much different that Luck's.....

wrong. Luck plays on a crap team with minimal talent. Peyton plays on a loaded team that made the playoffs last season. Luck should be in consideration for MVP

So if the receiver drops a pass, it's the QB's fault? Completion percentage is a misleading stat. But since it fits Blu's argument I can totally see why he likes it so much.

When the receiver makes a great one handed grab of a poorly thrown pass, does the QB deserve having a completed pass. If this was true, Luck's percentage would be even lower. Reggie has made enough miracle grabs to cost him several percentage points. It all comes out in the end. Yes, passes, get dropped and yes, great catches are made of very poor passes. There is a big difference between a 52% passer and a 70% passer. That is the big difference between Luck and RGIII....

I have never intentionally made one. I am sure I have been proven wrong before but some of you approach the absure in your making excuses for Luck. It will end eventually, when you finally figure out what management really did to this team....

Luck isn't even in the running for offensive rookie of the year. Peyton is a contender to be MVP again. The team has no talent because management decided that they would have to talent. Peyton's team isn't loaded but it is pretty solid.... I expect him to finish the last ten games at 8-2 or 7-3 and win that division. They will get better and better as the season goes on and if injuries don't get in the way, could be a force in the playoffs..... Indy? Well, they won't be seeing the playoffs or .500 for a long, long time.....

You all should start a new board with new mods so you can have meaningful discussions about the Colts. This is coming from a former Indystar poster and we had the exact same problem almost to the point where it destroyed the board. Needless to say there are no problems now and it is refreshing to have calm posts for once.

I was talking about the entire season. Usually when you mention playoffs in a sentence that is what you are talking about. They won't be close to .500 when the season is done. They still have two to lose to Houston, two to Tennessee and one to Jacksonville without looking at anything else... They might upset and win one of those but I wouldn't count on it....

    Luck's Colts 3-3, Manning's Broncos 3-3

Ol'blue- WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT MANNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Broncos have more talent than the Colts and they are still 3-3

I don't post blatantly false things or act like I am preaching the truth. They are only my opinions. Nothing more, nothing less.... Did you bother to tell the poster who said that Luck should be in the running for the MVP over Peyton Manning that he was saying someting blatantly false? Of course, not it was just his opinion. Delusional but his opinion nonetheless...
