I don't know if Steve Nash is the type of player you want as an example. Not a knucklehead but didn't get much of a chance for several years. Jeremy Lin?

Everybody has their own path. Plus, I never said he could be a great player. I just want him to be a really solid rotation player. And based on his skill set, it is attainable.
"Your course, your path, is not going to be like mine," West says. "Everybody is not called to be a multimillionaire. Everybody's not called to be the president. Whatever your best work is, you do it. Do it well. … You cease your own greatness when you aspire to be someone else."

I agree. Just because it wasn't done before, doesn't mean he can't be a good solid rotational player. Plus at 26, Green is still young and hasn't hit his prime yet. In fact after all those years on the pine, he's relatively young in basketball years.

If he shows 80% of what he did most of last season without getting into trouble then I'd say he was a successful player for us. Idk why anyone would be cynical or believe that this is unlikely

after the first home preseason game, Green looks like a guy that can play. But one of those guys that is a bad starter or a good rotation guy. If Danny's hurt all season, and Green has to start, the Pacers are . If Green needs to fill in a game or two, then things will be fine. I would say the same thing about Ian Mahinmi. Things are great if he's playing 16 mpg in the rotation and starting a game or two if Roy's hurt. But if he's starting and playing 32 mpg, the pacers are in trouble. Both guys look like good pickups.
