Packers secondary is still extremely weak. Luck should be able to put up some good numbers if he can get decent protection. Wouldn't surprise me if it were closer than most people expect.

42-13 GB Luck will be beat around by Clay Matthews all day long. The Colts offense ain't the Saints offensive even if they are 0-4..... ...

Although I'll be curious to see how the team responds with Pagano's absence this could either bring them together or make them disengaged.

While Arians playcalling leaves a lot to be desired as far as creativity I rather have him taking over than Clyde Christensen.

    Colts- 6
    Packers- 4

Packers get two sacks in the end zone but we pull off the field goal with 2 seconds left.

depends if Vontae Davis plays, i know he has not been great, but he has not been awful since the Chicago game, I can't see us winning with Cassius Vaughn out there unless he shows something we have not seen yet, we have a small chance is Justin King plays, Colts win 31-28 is my official guess

My head says the Colts don't win... My heart says they deliver the game ball to Pagano Sunday night after a Colts' win in a game they refuse to lose.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

    Packers 77 Colts 3

The Colts will be unable to defend the Packers QB combo of Rodgers and RGIII, and the Colts lone score will be a result of Irsay ordering the score keepers to put points on the board...

I see a 10 point loss here but given the team I think thats a net positive given the injuries to the DBs and Chucks absence.

I am interested to see Freeney impact on the game and whether Greg Jennings is on the field. If he isn't then the Colts have a shot but I predict Finley has a big game especially if Angerer is dropped into coverage.

The Colts are also, statistically a better team than given credit for thus far, around the middle of the pack on both sides of the ball. So while the power rankings have us 30th, and the standings show us at 1-2, we're really playing about .500 ball right now. Not bad at all for a rebuilding effort. If you consider the 4th quarter collapse against the jags would have put us at 2-1, it makes decent sense.

One of my personal all time favorite Colts, but he's living up to the albatross mantle of his contract via injury. I'm taking it at face value he's injured. Is there anything that would hint otherwise? Such as he's pissed about the defensive switch or he's really not capable of playing the new responsibility (position) effectively. I'm assuming his ability to play in the scheme remains undecided.

Per Stampede Blue he says his ankle was injured on an illegal block. After reading the report, scheme effectiveness undecided, but no indication there's anything else to his not playing. I feel better for the time being.

Oh he clearly got hurt in the Chicago game. The evaluation on his fit in the scheme has been overrated so far because he has played so little and if he can't drop back in coverage they'll let him rush like a traditional DE. His game is built on his speed and footwork, so there isn't and shouldn't be any rush to put him out there until he is close to being 100%.

Well the good news is that Satele and Freeney are a game time decison. The bad news is that Cassius Vaughn is our starting DB.

This is an interesting barometer game for us in a lot of ways. How do we react to Pagano issue? The impact of the buy? O/D units against high quality comp? Overcome depleted CB issue? Return of Freeney perhaps? As the O-line turns? How many Packer backers in crowd? How do we react (fans & team).

I hope DFree can get back out simply to (hopefully) bolster the pass rush. Given our CB situation and their arsenal of receiving options, I don't find the Jennings injury is that much of a net gain for us. Certainly, if we can't generate some pressure on Rogers, then they will succeed in passing game, and defending their run could be deceptively challenging.

On the other side of the ball, we can't turn it over, but I feel that Luck is bound to give up a pick or two that the last couple of weeks he's lucked out on getting an incomplete instead. ST coverage gets a bit of a workout, too, so we'll see how they fare.

My guess is still GB takes this comfortably. I just don't think we're anywhere near there yet. However, they could underestimate, coming off a high from NO comeback, us with the Pagano motivation. I will hope for the latter that leads to an entertaining game.

I'd say Green Bay is going to win this pretty easily. But their D is still bad enough that the Colts will be able to move on them, at least through the air. I'd say something like 34-17 sounds about right.

I don't think the Packers and Matthews in particular are going to get to Luck the way some do. Between Anthony Costanzo quietly having a pretty good season and Luck's mobility, I think they'll be ok. Sacks Costanzo has given up to Julius Peppers? Zero. Jared Allen? Zero. Like I said, it's a combination. That doesn't mean that Costanzo is whipping those guys on every play. It does mean he's frustrating them long enough to allow Luck to extend the play with his legs. I suppose Green Bay could get to them, but so far the Colts have handled the elite pass rushers they have faced pretty well.

Green Bay has a bit of pressure on them though. They NEED to win this game because they have the Texans next week and then the Rams. The Texans are good and should beat them, and the Rams defense is finally stepping up to match their offense so that isn't the automatic win it used to be either. After this games they should be 3-2 and they definitely don't want to mess around and lose this one, be 2-3 instead, and then lose the next two to fall to 2-5.
