Didn't see this anywhere. Don't really know if I'm a little sad or I don't care.

    Good for Lou.

Love him because he was a fan favorite, and will miss him because of that.

But bottom line is he just doesnt really do anything well. Hustle is great and fun to watch, but any way you break it down, Lou will still awful.

    Good luck Lou!

Chances are that next to K-Love, Pekovic and Stiemsma he will be able to play his natural position (Power Forward) so he'll be a great defensive asset to them. It's a good fit.

    So, good luck

    A couple of things here.

    1. I'm sorry but I am still convinced that we got rid of the wrong backup big. I really wish they would have packaged Tyler/Collison for something better and kept Lou with another serviceable big or better yet Scola. But I guess this wasn't on the table, still not happy about it though.

    2. Are we all ok then with the fact that we traded away Brandon Rush for a one year rental? I'm ok with it but I wonder if any of you out there are not.

I would have been fine with trading Brandon Rush away for a one month rental.

I really don't want to see Hans in a Pacers uni. Would rather have neither, but Lou is more palatable.

    And a 2015 2nd!

I think we got hosed on the deal talent wise, that's obvious. But it's pretty clear both parties were ready to move on. Plus Rush costs 4 mil a year now.

He's a nice regular season player whose energy and feistiness will give your team a boost during the daily grind.

However, I think we saw that he was pretty exposed come playoff time at least when paired with Tyler. We all know that the Pacers' brass is still firmly in the Hansbrough corner, and likely one of them had to go.

I'd say yes, but only because I'm not sure what else was ever realistically on the table. If that's the best we could do, that's the best we could do, but I was always hoping we could trade for Mareese Speights (even if that wasn't an option) at the time.

I liked Lou but looking back it was because he would occasionally surprise because I had the bar set so low. Everytime he did something right I was excited because I just expected for him to miss every shot, and to allow his man to score every time down the court.

And that's the key issue. Lou can fill in at Center but his natural position is Power Forward. That's why the Wolves are a great fit for him.

While Lou's hustle would make for some exciting spurts that could help the team, the majority of the time that could not mask his lack of offense, free throw shooting and size.

I believe that Plumlee will instantly make most people forget all about Lou because he has a motor and has at least enough skills to make it to Duke and stick in the program.

I wish Lou all the best, but he was difficult to watch for the most part. For me at least, he was better than Fesenko. Fesenko had more entertainment value due to his personality IMO.

I only hope that Plumlee earns more playing time so I don't have to watch Horrible-Hans on the floor. At least Plumlee can rebound and has size.

Lou and Leandro did exactly what I thought they would do: help us win games in regular and get exposed in the playoffs.
I'm glad they helped us out last year, but I'm also glad we looked at better options for this year and are still looking as I don't see a closer yet on this roster.

Lou is a great fit for the Timberwolves as their primary concern is to reach the playoffs and not to make it to the conference finals, like the Pacers.

Rush was also a one year rental at the time we traded him. Sure the Warriors ended up keeping him but they had to pay more money. If we had kept him, would anyone have preferred Rush for 2 years $8m over Gerald Green for 3 years $10.5m? I don't think we would have signed both.

We could have kept Lou too, and cheaply at that. He signed for the minimum with the Wolves, and the reason he took so long to sign is because he was hoping for a non-minimum contract, which the Pacers could have offered (we still have the room exception). Obviously we decided we'd rather spend on other guys.

I'll miss Lou. The first of the season last year I didn't care for him at all, but he really started playing well mid season and was fun to watch.

I would have liked to see him play some PF for the Pacers this season, but we improved the bench and in the long term he'll probably not be missed.

I really like Lou. I thought he played much better than Hansborough all season long. Lou will definitely be a good fit in their front court rotation.

As for Brandon Rush, the one thing I do know is that Brandon would have done so much more for us in the Miami series than Lou did. Our second unit defense was atrocious and Brandon always defended DWade well. He would have been much better than DJones and Barbosa to come off the bench. Miami played small against us and Brandon would have been the more appropriate player in our rotation.

I would prefer Tyler because he is a better FT shooter and can occasionally knock down some jumpers.
