There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.
We are so spoiled as Colts fans if we think Luck is having anything short of an amazing start to his rookie year. If Luck keeps even just this pace up it would be one of the best rookie seasons for a QB ever.
That video was pretty heartbreaking and awesome at the same time. I couldn't help being sad to see it was the Jaguars game. It's too bad it couldn't have been the Packers game. I'm sure he had 0 complaints, of course, but I just wanted it to be the Packers game. How awesome would that have been for him?
You would think someone in his position would just be crushed by the decision to let go of Manning. But he just accepts the change and wants to meet the new guy (Luck) who will keep it going even when he's no longer around to see it.
He's like, the Anti-OlBlu.
Done A lot better than anyone expected
He is the most clutch rookie QB I have ever seen
No bums for 2016-217
Luck has been very impressive to me as a rookie QB. I am surprised by his poise, pocket awareness and his atheticism. He reminds me of another rookie QB that the blue and white had a while back, except he is a bit more polished at this stage and he might not have the super cannon arm but his intelligence has me very impressed.
Interestingly, RG3 is #3. I actually agree with that. I love Russell Wilson, and while he's had some rockiness here and there, what I see in that kid is a VERY good QB in a few years. Where Luck is like a mobile Manning.... Wilson is like a mobile Brees. Props to nfl.com for having some balls and not getting sucked into the RG3 hype.
What cracks me up is that RG3 has lost two straight games and not looked very good in the process, and yet Luck as won the last two, looking very good. What in the world is ESPN thinking on this one? The RG3 hype is exactly that.
What cracks me up is that you didn't watch the games. He looked GREAT against the Giants and he had that team beat but his defense gave up a long bomb to lose the game.
He was fine against the Steelers. He receivers dropped 10 passes (NFL statistic, not my observation) for the most for any game by any team this years. RGIII hit all of those passes on the button. He looked just fine. He will look even better this coming week......
OlBlu saying he would take the guy who graduated with a bloody poli sci degree from Baylor over the guy who graduated with an architecture degree from Stanford and was the Academic All America of the Year is the tops.
Also, has it really come to this?
Lets say Luck and Griffin get taken out with a career ending injury. Who will have the better chance of going on in life without football with a job that will support them? Luck made a smart choice.
