Lots of mistakes on all parts in this game, from Baltimore's special teams, Denver's secondary, and of course the refs, who gave a free TD to Baltimore on that pick 6 that should have been a defensive interference...

I love Peyton, but now Denver knows how it feels. As a Colts fan I can state the truth, guy is really average at best in the playoffs.

Well basically, the Colts and Broncos made it to the same point, losing in the first playoff game. Peyton and his arm was clearly tired by the end of the game.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Ravens have zero business scoring 38 pts

Peyton still can't get it done in the playoffs

It cannot be denied that he has been haunted by the postseason. 9-11 record. One and done 8 times. 5 home playoff losses. Two one and dones as the number 1 seed.

9-11. Tied with Favre (13-11) for most playoff losses...

John Fox has a lot of blame and what if's as far as playcalling goes. I bet Denver fans are wanting him run out of town asap.

I knew what was going to happen as the game wore on in overtime. Either on one of those short yardage plays the Ravens would be thinking run and Manning would burn them for a long pass play to a wide open receiver... ORRRRRRRRRRRR.... on one of the other plays Manning was going to force a throw and turn it over in a very bad place.

I didn't have a problem with the run in regulation on 3rd down rather than Manning throwing it. Ravens had no timeouts and at best they'd have little time when they got the ball back. I'm a little questionable on the Broncos not at least trying something with 2 TO's and 30 secs left in regulation. All they needed was a FG. Sure it would be a gamble but so is OT.

And lastly... whoda thunk it? The Colts played the Ravens tighter than the Broncos, at least as far as being a defensive struggle.

Manning was gift-wrapped 14 points by those special teams returns and still couldn't do enough to win the game.

The Patriots are licking their chops right now....they throttled the only two teams left and both will have to come to Foxboro.

Like I said.... as they stakes got higher I just knew he was going to throw an ill-advised pass. I thought there was a chance they'd go long on a 2nd and 1 or 3rd and 1 and burn the Ravens, but I was just waiting for the back-breaker interception that Colts fans know so well.

Not sure the Broncos can make the argument that Manning had to press it... because Denver allegedly has a defense. Although allowing the Ravens to break 30 points and hit on those homerun balls does make you wonder.

Somebody has to say it: Tim Tebow won a playoff game for the Broncos last season

The Ravens, and replacement refs, in Baltimore, way early in the season.

Part of me wanted to see Brady face that Broncos secondary, but most of me wanted the AFCCG to be in Foxoboro, IF they win tomorrow.

It's funny. It's like watching an old Colts game. You know they should win, they have more talent, they're at home, and yet somehow they make enough mistakes to lose the game at the end. So frustrating.

I have a feeling that Luck will not have any of the same problems.

Actually, Tebow took the Broncos as far as Manning did. Both got beat in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Good. I can listen to 1070 again without having to listen to some idiot caller bemoaning that the Colts let Peyton go so he could take the Broncos to the big game.

Yeah I'm a little over making excuses for Peyton now. He doesn't have the Polian regime to blame. Yes, Fox was too conservative w/ a 4-time MVP QB playing for him, and yeah that secondary was awful . . . But Peyton and that offense had a few chances toward the end to make a drive and finish the Ravens. In the end he just didn't do it. 8 one-and-done's, that's pathetic.

I don't know if Luck will ever be the virtuoso that Peyton is, but somehow I don't think we'll ever be looking back talking about how Luck went one-and-done eight times in his career.

Here's a sobering stat: Since winning the Super Bowl against the Bears six years ago, Peyton has won just two playoff games in five seasons (sat out 2011). Both of those two wins were in 2009 en route to the Super Bowl (Ravens, Jets).

The Broncos put up 35 points. The Ravens should never score 38.
