lots on injuries for the Steelers tonight

O-line could be a huge issue, maybe RB too.

I knew this was going to happen as soon as Suisham missed that FG of course they kept talking about how he hasn't missed all season until you know he did.

Those were already the two positions we've been having injury issues with since last January. Last night was an extension of the same theme... OL and RB injuries and a defense that gets worse (tired?) as the game goes on. Its maddening, but its football. We're throwing the ball too much (40 attempts last night) to win.

We've been drafting to fix the OL problems. As of the second quarter of last night, both first round picks and the first of the second-round picks were all injured, leaving only the rookie second-rounder (who was generally okay last night). But we're back to the same crappy line.

This is shaping up to be a rebuilding/ 8-8 or 9-7 type of season for us. With losses on the road to Oakland and TN, we're clearly not a good road team.

54 was out of his range and always has been. Probably should have punted and played for overtime vs. giving them such a short field to work with. Hindsight...

    Is it?

I mean if the Colts lose on Sunday both teams are 2-3 but the Titans will have one win in the AFC

The Colts two wins are in the NFC they'd have the tiebreaker.

Otherwise I normally have no issue with the Steelers losing since I don't like them.

Yes. Thanks to an easy schedule, we've got an outside shot at a Wild Card spot and the Steelers will be a competitor for that. The Titans won't.

Probably more realistically, a Titans win helps us get a better draft slot.

Watching this Niners/Giants game makes me wonder if Peyton was a better fit for them than the Broncos are.

Granted its just one game but I had a 49ers T-shirt from back in the day I could've worn during his games (growing up in northern Indiana they never sold Colts stuff for a lot of years until Manning came into his own so I settled for a Niners T-shirt)

Which I actually predicted go figure.

Now the Pats/Jets game next week is actually going to be interesting there's a 4 way tie for first

There's been so much hoopla about the supposed demise of the Jets, yet they are in a position where they can take the division lead next weekend.

Not surprising. GB is two years removed from a championship and they had their backs against the wall tonight. You can't go 2-4. Their season was on the line and I'm not surprised at all with how they responded. You know they had to be ticked after blowing that game to the Colts last weekend.

I'm still not sold on Houston going to the Super Bowl. This was a pretty big statement game tonight on national TV against a premier team in the Packers, but they laid a massive egg. Barely competed.

The AFC North is quickly turning into the AFC-IR division. How many more defensive stars can get hurt?

Lewis, Webb, Ngota, ... and Suggs is still out? If we can get Troy and LaMarr back on the field before Thanksgiving, and keep James on the field, we might be okay.

The AFC is a complete crap-shoot atm, only 3 teams are over .500 and that's if the Chargers beat the Broncos, if not only the Ravens and Texans are. 9-7 has the possibility of a playoff spot, and if the Texans aren't the #1 or 2 seed, that's a disaster for them; their division is easier compared to the Ravens.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

The Pats have 3 losses by a combined 4 points, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory 3 times. Ack.

The entire AFC East is 3-3.

The Jets-Pats game next weekend should be good.

I think the Giants playing at their max potential are still the best team in the NFL. They completely demolished the Niners on the road.

Schaub is not a championship level QB for Houston. If they fall behind early he cannot lead them back. He looked like he was peeing himself last night.

I agree with you and they should have tried to get Peyton. Then Peyton could have punished Irsay and the Colts for another five years or so. I think he would have been a great fit there......

If the Broncos win tonight, just 2 teams in the AFC will be over 0.500. One of those, Baltimore, seems doomed by injury.

9 teams will have 3 losses, 7 at 3-3 and two at 2-3, having had an early bye (IND, PIT).

    Parity has arrived.
