Default ESPN: The Bottom of the Barrel

    http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/...ecord-football

Thorough analysis and debate about which 8 teams will be vying for the worst record in football. Colts are not included.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

Well, there we have it, undeniable, irrefutable, expert opinion that the Colts will not suck!

Not that you said any of that. But I do know someone who leans on exactly that for every point they make...

I'd like to add that two teams from the AFC South were included in this list.... but not Indianapolis.

    Not that anyone cares, but:

1)They cycled through McNabb, Beck, Grossman and Campbell. (Campbell never played for Shanahan,)

    2) They were free agent maniacs, spending, spending spending. (Never mentioned our draft picks)

    3) Snyder will fire Shanahan. (Using the Snyder of old. Good journalism)

Also, why no mentions of the Vikings?

Travmil, I laughed hard at that. Well played, sir. Well played.

I *might* have indirectly directed this post at a particularly aforementioned unnamed someone. Even though he's on ignore. But for conversation-sake, let's assume I posted this purely as a non-emotional, neutral, simple statement about a team that I just so happen to like. *cough*

Just wanted to point out, the OP is not ESPN, it's Grantland.

ESPN hasn't changed their rankings. NFL.com and everywhere else has us picked much better than ESPN. ESPN is really the only place that has us that bad.

Eh, Grantland, ESPN --- same thing. It's just Bill Simmons lil spinoff of ESPN. ESPN owns Grantland.

The Colts will finish .500 or better
I strongly considered putting the Indianapolis Colts as my last AFC Wild Card team in our playoff predictions. But it felt like a pick just to be different when my real vision for this team is playoff contention after Thanksgiving. I see 1 p.m. ET games getting moved because the team is winning and fans want to see Andrew Luck. A very soft schedule and a fantastic rookie quarterback can cover up a lot of problems.

Organizations don't make predictions, but individual writers make predictions, and the writers for one organization rarely ever agree on anything, unless its Fox News and you passed some sort of litmus test to get hired.

If OlBlu posts an opinion, is it the opinion of "Pacers Digest" in any way? God I hope not.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

I don't think Juan Williams took the test. I like Williams commentary in any case.
