Cody Zeller and Jordan Hulls are both Academic All-Americans. Indiana is the only school in the country with two Academic All-Americans. It's the first time since the Van Arsdale brothers were both Academic All-Americans in 1965 that IU has had two players honored as such. First IU hoopers since Luke Recker in 1999. Huge accomplishment, congrats to Jordy and Cody.
Heck of an achievement. Congrats to those guys, and IU in general. You guys have a lot to be proud of this year.

7 straight years with an academic All-American at Butler, which is an amazing feat.

From what I saw- Zeller grabbed the arm, pulled it toward him, then bent over and starting staring at the ref like he was a second grader at recess- hoping to get a call.

    Cody Zeller's Pro move?

Is this what it has come to with UK fans? Pushing stupid conspiracy theories about IU? You sound like a jealous Purdue fan posting something like this. That shouldn't be surprising given how bad Calipari's latest batch of hired thugs have been this year. Have fun in the NIT.

It's a great run that hopefully will continue next year.
If only that could help Butler beat St. Louis then it would really be something.

I'm a huge IU fan, but that guy is right. If you have the game recorded, watch that part again in slo-mo. Zeller has hold of the defenders left arm, and pulls the arm into himself. Cody had a pretty good hold on the guy.

Did you not wonder how he "recovered" so quickly? Also, he knew exactly where the ref was, and immediately turned to look at the ref when it happened. Not an "I'm in pain" and then look for the ref, but immediately looked at him.

Anyone who actually believes that Cody Zeller willingly pulled Nix's arm into his **** doesn't know the first thing about Cody Zeller. Also, they probably don't have balls because if they did they wouldn't want pain inflicted on them for the possibility of getting a technical called.

In his first collegiate game against Stony Brook, Zeller was the recipient of a nasty crotch shot so last Tuesday was not the first time something like that has happened to him. By now I am sure Zeller is well versed on getting the refs' attention when some punk on the other team decides to play outside the rules.

There's always a ref along the baseline. Not that hard to know where he'll be.

This upcoming game against Minnesota reminds of the Illinois debacle a couple of weeks ago. IU is #1, coming off a big win, and going on the road to play a struggling team that was once ranked highly and desperately needs a big win to improve their tournament hopes.

Hopefully IU learned from the Illinois game and takes care of business in the Barn tomorrow.

A win tonight and we could be celebrating an outright Big Ten title on Jordy, Wat, Elston, and Creek's senior night.....wow.

LOL- an IU fan making fun of UK going to the NIT. UK has three trophys since IUs last.

Agreed- if it happened against IU this thread would explode.

They got expensive, we want nice things but we also want to be responsible. Not to mention our guys have to go to class. Thats why IU occasionally has an academic all American once in awhile. Do UK fans even know what those are?

Darren35, you have made no comment on why Nix immediately covers up his family jewels with his right hand after smacking Zeller's jewels with his left hand. Why would you fear retaliation for something, if you have not done anything? Also, why would you not protest to your coach after he pulls you out of the game for an incident, if you were an innocent victim?

    this is clear:
    1) Zeller tugs on Nix's arm
    2) Nix says "STOP that" and whacks him in the nuts
    3) Nix thinks "Uh-oh" and covers up his jewels in case Cody retaliates

Why did Cody recover so fast? Well, maybe Nix's aim was off by half an inch. Who knows.

Have someone tug on your arm near the elbow and see if it magically makes your hand catapult to the groin area of whomever is tugging at your arm.

Sure, every few decades they get one who leaves the state of Indiana. Or at least they used to.

But now they are a nontraditional college program. Traditional college programs relied on, you know, having some college students.

Word is going around that Cody is enrolled in I-Core for the summer. Which IIRC covers both summer sessions. So he is clearly considering coming back, hopefully already decided.

Him, Sheehy, Vonleh and Yogi can keep us good next year. And if anybody else emerges well, thats just great

I don't know about that. Kentucky is going to be overrated, and if MSU keeps everybody they probably deserve it.

Next year we will have have to fill the void at SG and Sixth man. Now if Robinson can come in and be legit by the time the Big Ten starts, we could very well be in the title chase again next year.
