Dakich saying Robinson needs to be suspended for punching Jordy in the head. I can't find the video, but I guess it's pretty obvious and the refs missed it.

wow... seems clear, and by the body language of Robinson, it certainly was not an accident.

Here's a gif, basically the same but in HD:

3 games IMO. Why? He should have been tossed from the IU game and then missed Ohio State and Wiscy, but now he should miss OSU, Wiscy, and MSU. No place for that.

This one does make it look like more an accident, but still I thought all hits to head were flagrant 1 pretty much?

Hulls clearly got punched, and it was clearly unintentional. GR3 and Watford were tangled and Robinson pulled his arm free, just wrong place wrong time. You don't suspend a kid for an accident.

That second angle definitely gives a better view. I wouldn't suspend either after seeing that.

I don't disagree with any of that, but isn't there a rule about hits to the head? Also, how did the refs explain this as two players bumping heads? lol

Yeah, the second angle makes it clear that Watford psuhed Robinson's arm, basically pushing it into the path of Jordan's face, before Robinson was even looking at Jordy. An odd non-reaction to the blow ensued on Robinson's part, I guess, but it's hard to argue that there was intent.

It was a regrettable thing, really, that when Oladipo got the ball in the open court, with just a few seconds left in the game and the Hoosiers up 81-73, he did not just dribble out the clock. What he did, instead, was throw down a windmill dunk as the backboard lit up and the buzzer went off. It did not count, but Crean apologized to Michigan coach John Beilein for it anyway, and Oladipo apologized for it to the media. As Oladipo was walking in to the press conference with his teammates, Watford asked him how he planned to explain the dunk. The question would undoubtedly come up. Oladipo shrugged and said, "Adrenaline, bruh."

Did they really not count it? It obviously doesn't matter at all but I thought Oladipo got the dunk off before the buzzer.

I thought so too when I was there live. It looked pretty clear it counted, but I think they thought it would only be worse if it was counted. I don't get it.

If you pause at 0:15 you can see he easily beat the buzzer. The ball was all the way through the net before the light came on. I'm not sure why it didn't count, but it doesn't really matter.

This could probably get its own thread, but did anyone see the stuff about Jalen Rose in Bloomington after the game? Color me not surprised. Pretty funny though.

On Saturday ESPN analyst Jalen Rose was in Bloomington for College GameDay, ahead of No. 3 Indiana beating No. 1 Michigan. On Sunday, he was in New Orleans for the network's Super Bowl festivities. In between he washed away his sorrows at watering hole Kilroy's Sports, as well as at some random dudes' house.

Rose's adventures were chronicled on Reddit by a handful of students who were there, but, perhaps wary of narcing him out so he never comes back, a user's account of Rose holding court was swiftly deleted. Lost Lettermen grabbed it in time:

    • "He seemed fairly confident that MJ was hungover in Game 5 of the '97 Finals and didn't actually have the flu"

    • "Joked how he couldn't smoke weed because ‘man I work for Disney!! You don't think they drug test us?' "

    • "He kept asking how the hell you work a bong and after getting chirped for it, he goes ‘PLEASE. black people only use pipes if they're smoking crack' "

    • "He claimed he could hit 17 of 20 3s RIGHT THEN AND THERE, everyone howled and said no way, he just laughed and kept yelling ‘f*** ya'll f*** ya'll' "

    • "5am rolls around and he gets asked what time his flight is to leave for New Orleans – ‘oh I dunno….about 2 and a half hours' "

    • On Jamaal Tinsley: ‘The dude drank vodka more often than water…AND I let him live with me! For a MONTH!'"

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Dakich just pointed out that Penn State had Trey Burke decommit because Ed Dechellis was fired. Man, how pissed do you think they have to be now? Was Chambers worth it Nittany Lions? LOL

Ed DeChellis wasn't fired. He left on his own accord to take the head coaching job at Navy.
