Also, Hulls may be my favorite IU player of all time at this point.
Losing Hulls will be a blow but I don't think everyone understands just how effing awesome the 2013 recruiting class is. If you thought Zeller was good as a freshman just wait for Noah Vonleh. Troy Williams and Stan Robinson are big time players as well. IU is going to have its most talented roster ever next season under Crean.
Remy seems to be pretty capable from downtown. And Oladipo has made great strides in that area, thats if he doesn't go pro. Will was a 38% shooter last year. If he can just get to that level it would be nice.
Plus as we saw last night Yogi can shoot the ball.
We will of course not be as good, but we will probably still have enough talent to make a team playing zone regret it, if we just move the ball and look for the open shot.
remy is one of those guys who seems to get lost in all the hype of the other guys. despite that, he just keeps doing good stuff. he is not some super-duper athlete whp makes the sports center highlights (although he is pretty decent) but i am very happy to have him around. oladipo- he has nba talent/ability but, i think he would be better served sticking around because his handles and finishing around the rim needs refinement. but of course that means little as to whether he does stick around and works on fixing those things.
one of the things players don't seem to realize when they jump to the pros is the is virtually no time to work on improvement except in the off-season.
Not a huge surprise, but Indiana lost their appeals to have Perea and Jurkin's suspensions reduced. Nine games it is. Nothing else to really add, it's the NCAA, reason isn't in the equation.
Shame Perea and Jurkin didn't just accept a shoe deal to pay for the cell phones and food. NCAA has no problem with that.
**** the NCAA.
NCAA offices are in Indy, I'm just saying, for you locals. It really is stupid. On the bright side, once there's 4 16 team conferences they're going to leave the NCAA. YOU WATCH!
I'm normally on the side of the NCAA, because I used to work with their staff, but even I can't justify their reasoning here.
If only a significant other of the investigator with the Perea/Jerkin case had blabbed about the case in public ala what allegedly happened with the Shabazz case.....
"And David put his hand in the bag and took out a stone and slung it. And it struck the Philistine on the head and he fell to the ground. Amen. "

I wish I could explain the IU coaching staff's love affair with Cameron Coffman. It seems they're willing to lose to Purdue just to get him more experience as he prepares for his role as a benchwarmer next season.
Lets hope that they can shore up the D with this incoming class. Ugh smh
Way to go Coffman. Right to the purdue defender
I'd can the DCs after that showing. Robinson or Sudfeld next year. Coffman should be in DIII.
Whatever alleged progress was made this season has certainly been thrown out the window. I don't think we'll be able to infuse the quality and quantity of talent it would take to make this D near reasonable B1G.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.
Coffman played fine. Threw for the same number of yards as Marve. Purdue CBs are decent. If you put it up 40-50 times against them, they will make some plays. The IU D is shaky, but Purdue is a better team with Marve. I am pretty sure IU would have won with TerBush at QB.
Coffman gets blamed for everything that goes wrong. The fact is this just isn't a very good football team right now. I think you convert Roberson to a do it all guy and have Coffman and Sudfeld battle for the starting QB job in camp.
Yeah, I agree Coffman gets too much blame. The defense was the problem today, as if is more often than not.
I like Roberson being thrown back into the mix at QB, but I'm not sure he is quite the pocket passer that the other two are. We shall see.
PS: Your PMs are over quota, TJ.
Give the D a bit of a break 28 of the 42 points scored in the second half came off of turnovers.
