Do we really think that Will Sheehey has any shot at the NBA? I sure hope not.
I think victor has a lot more of a shot. But yeah scouts are watching him and Crean said he's one of the most improved players this years. I agree with cdash though. Probably next year if at all. We'll see.

Awesome we got Williams I really wanted him. Also that gives a connection with Boo Williams and Oak Hill Academy. Nice pipeline there. Williams has a lot of potential. If we get Vonleh I think 2013 has a shot to be just as good as 2012.

So if we dont get Anya who starts at C. Jurkin or Fischer? Or do we play small with Vonleh and Perea both starting

Definitely play small and fast if we get vonleh. Yogi, will, Jeremy, Noah, hanner.

I hear that Perea & Jurkin aren't even academically cleared yet, so it's entirely possible that one or maybe even both of them never suits up. Not a cheery thought, but it may explain the interest in getting extra commitments for next year. But assume that they are Ok...

3 seniors will leave, Creek is a senior academically and could be gone too, Zeller would be crazy not to leave after this year so there is you 5 scholarships right there. VO leaving would make 6, and I hear he is also on track to graduate early, this spring.

Add a transfer leaving for more playing time and then we would be shorthanded even with Beejay and Vonleh! Add Perea or Jurkin not qualifying and you could have an undersign bind! It's a very fluid situation and hard to predict, so I won't worry and I'll just let CTC do his job.

Yeah they are cleared or we never would have gotten #1 in the polls. And as of now i think VO goes especially if we get vonleh. Too much competition his draft stock could be hurt by staying. Zeller is gone. So as of now i think we are fine on scholarships. So need to hope 2 guys go elsewhere for PT if we want anya and Vonleh

Now that i think about it the same thought process may apply to sheehey if we got Vonleh

    Here's the link:

    http://www.news-sentinel.com/apps/pb...121029677/1002

Perea and Jurkin apparently have not yet been cleared by the NCAA's Eligibility Center. Evaluations often take longer for foreign athletes. Perea is from Colombia, although he went to high school at northern Indiana's La Lumiere School. Jurkin is from South Sudan but attended United Faith Christian Academy in North Carolina.

If that evaluation extends deep into November and Elston remains sidelined, IU could have some inside depth issues.

Well tonight Anya was talking to Blackmon and Williams on twitter. Plus after a rumor spread he was committing tomorrow appeared, a bunch of IU fans showed him love.

He's pushing the decision back a day due to the storms on the east coast.

Anya is absolutely committing here IMO, way too many connections to the IU program. Surreal. Williams must have flicked over the domino. 5 years ago Crean was trying to super glue a recruiting class together headlined by Nick Williams and Malik Story now kids are tripping over themselves to commit to IU.

I am significantly less confident than you at our chances with Anya. I think it's 50/50. Momma will have a big say and the proximity of NC State will surely entice her.

Isn't Anyas mom really religious and thats really important to her? Or was that Williams, but if it was Anya we should have him on lock down with Crean afterall.

If we do get Anya though, I can't believe that Vonleh would go somewhere else. He WILL get playing time here. And I would imagine he would want a place where he can win a championship his freshman year, since hes likely not to stay more than a year.

Idk about Anya. He should be dominating HS competition. But he's not. HS 6'8 270, how is he not destroying HS competition. I understand he has a huge wing span and he's got potential. But he just reminds me of sullinger without the offensive game. Idk. Hope he proves me wrong. I don't think he would help us out a lot right away, he will take time to develop. Vonleh is ready now though. I really want him.

Anya has the physical tools and a great work ethic. But he does need some coaching no doubt about that. But look what Crean has done with the guys he has. Either developed more than people thought or faster.

So either he has an eye for talent and spots people who are undervalued. Or he is able to coach them up. Either way, if he wants Anya I trust that he know what hes doing.

Very true, I definitely trust Crean knows what he's doing.

Mama likes Coach Crean though, plus he knows Vic and Stanford Robinson.

He hung out with Robinson and Troy Williams at Hoosier Hysteria. Robinson is really doing a good job at recruiting for IU lol.

Plus he played AAU for Coach Johnson. But even with all that my gut tells me NC State tho I hope I'm wrong. I don't think we get Vonleh either. Boy would I like to be wrong here.

Also he said on Twitter would commit in next two week. Not tomorrow.

Sorry but it bugs me when these are used incorrectly when I read posts on PacersDigest.com.

Vonleh has a visit with us on 11/9 hopefully we find out more then. He seems really positive about IU. Boo Williams likes our chances on landing him.

Hearing IU has pulled out of BeeJay Anya recruitment to focus on Noah Vonleh.
or maybe... Anya told CTC he was going to NC State.

Apparently NC State had already stopped recruiting another big man they were targeting so this seems likely.
