One down, five to go. Temple will be a tough challenge but IU can beat them.

Of course it did. My fervent disagreements with cdash and his pack of teenage girl posters in no way makes me immature. Not taking any **** from gloating Butler fans the limp d**k IU fans that rush to their defense does not make me immature.

The IU baseball team is 20-3 and ranked in the top 25. Their beautiful new stadium should only improve recruiting going forward. This could be a special year for IU baseball.

Every game from this point forward is going to be tough. Hopefully we're up to the challenge.

Typically unsurprising - opponent slows tempo, plays physical, hits the offensive boards. We consequently show no common focus or fire. We may be the worst half court offense in the tourney this year.

I wonder how long it will take the Hoosier nation to figure out Crean is not a very good in game coach? I have no idea how this game will go... but Crean is going to have his share of 20+ win seasons and fast paced, entertaining basketball. But the big games, the important games, will always be a struggle with him at the helm. Will the Hoosier Nation be satisfied with that?
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Oladipo gets it going with a couple of buckets and Crean's move? Put him on the bench...

That was better than anything Temple could do to try and cool him off and stop him.

Sheehey gets a 3rd foul and goes to the bench and is replaced by Oladipo which might've mitigated the damage but he's done nothing since returning either...

IMO, that was the worst game we've played all season, even though we won. We will have to play MUCH better to go any further.

I think we've played worse... But I'm hard-pressed to name the game right now...

IU is the only team left in the tournament from the state of Indiana so they have my full support whatever that means to anyone(and I go to their business school so I guess I'm sort of an alum)

There will be plenty of Keith Smart highlights the next few days

I have absolutely no confidence in Crean's in-game coaching.

Man that was intense. We are very fortunate to have escaped with a win. We just don't respond well to teams that play physical defense against us. Temple was in our face all game.

You do realize Temple BEAT Syracuse and only lost by seven points AT Kansas right? They are a good team. Survive and advance. That is all that matters.

Big games? At Michigan? At Michigan State? The NCAA tournament? You mean those big games?

Crean is 4-1 in the NCAAT at IU and has won 56 games the past two years. The results peak for themselves.

This is the second straight year IU goes the farthest of any state team in the NCAA tournament. Does the Butler bandwagon have anybody left on it?

Of course. I also said that Temple was going to be a tough challenge before the game. But I don't forsee the rest of our opponents shooting less than 35% like Temple did today.

All that has ever mattered this year was what is happening here, now. I want Final Fours and banners, not Sweet 16s and Big Ten regular season titles. That's what it is about.

You are going to be disappointed more often than not with those set of expectations I am afraid. There are only a small group of programs that can have those type of legitimate expectations year in and year out. I don't think IU is one of them with Crean at the helm but as long as he is here IU will be a respectable program that remains relevant.

Then what the **** are you arguing about? That's exactly what Bball was saying.

That isn't true. Crean can and has won big games at IU but that is different than contending for a TITLE more often than not.

Bball said Crean can't win big games to which I say he already has. Winning the conference title outright and advancing to consecutive Sweet Sixteens involves winning several big games. Winning a national championship is a different animal altogether.

What worries me is that Temple is an extremely sloppy undisciplined offensive team that takes terrible shots........and yet they almost won. Their physical defense completely MANHANDLED us today. Now we showed a lot of poise down the stretch today with our backs against the wall and found a way to win the game, but I'm worried about how terrible our offense looks. We've had trouble with physical defenses all season. When you punch us in the face a bit, we look bad.
