Oh BTW the biggest thing about Noel getting hurt is that any idea of Cody staying probably went out the window.
Well, the biggest thing is his health and career. It probably does knock Cody up a spot in the draft, but I think he was leaving regardless.

To me, the bigger question as it (tangentially) pertains to us is: Does Noel return to Kentucky next year?

My guess is that Cal would take the same stance that the Ol' Ball Coach has taken with Marcus Lattimore. He shouldn't play another game without getting paid.

(Cue up easy jokes about Noel already getting paid.)

I dunno, he probably has to sit out a whole year if he doesn't. Guess we will find out, and wasn't trying to downplay the impact on his health, obviously I wish him the best, just thought of Cody's draft prospects slightly after it happened.

My guess is Noel will probably go. He will probably still get drafted in the first round based on potential.

If he doesn't go, and he isn't able to be the same player anymore that could knock him really far down on draft boards.

Fred Glass says IU will pass on the Adidas alternative sleeved jerseys. Works for me.

    https://twitter.com/Justin_Albers/st...28196372996097

Indiana AD Fred Glass told us today that it is "very unlikely" IU will ever wear the alternate jerseys offered by Adidas.
    https://twitter.com/Justin_Albers/st...32259600781312

Fred Glass: "We've had multiple opportunities to wear alternative uniforms, and we've respectfully passed on that."

I really wouldn't mind an alternate jersey, but the sleeved versions I would rather not trifle with. Glass says the IU jersey is "iconic," but I have never seen it as a sacred cow. If Notre Dame football can throw up a monstrosity once a year, I don't see why we couldn't. Nothing too crazy, but I wouldn't mind seeing a switch up.

They have 6 fouls, 6 turnovers, and 8 scholarship players and we are still losing.

Nebraska is dribbling the air out of the ball. It's ****ing lame, but I can't say I blame them.

The defense has been a sieve in the lane early on. The offense lacks any flow. IU seems to be only moderately interested in this game so far. Nebraska has lulled the Hoosiers--and the fans--to sleep.

Okay, there's the #1 team in the country again. 7 points in 1:30 to start the 2nd half.

Thankfully this time we weren't counting on Hulls to make a clutch free throw.

If IU doesn't curbstomp Purdue by 40 in the Hall on Saturday I will be disappointed. The Boilers appear to have given up. Maybe Painter's temper tantrum will light a fire under their behind and they will play better but that team seems to have quit. You never know in a rivalry game though. IU can't go through the motions like they did against Nebraska for a half. Last year IU got on Purdue early in Bloomington and stayed ahead until the final buzzer.

I'd rather we give the bench more playing time. Remy looked a bit better against Nebraska, and Perea can always use the PT. Jeremey is continuing to impress but giving him major minutes would be nice.

And thank god Minny beat the Badgers for us. Unless we collapse its between us and MSU for the Big Ten Title. Assuming we hold serve at home, I think we can get it with just one win over a Michigan team. Would really help the cause if that was MSU of course.

I'm expecting a much tougher game than the one in West Lafayette; it's a rivalry game, after all. Any win will be just fine. Still, another big win would feel quite satisfying.

I'm not. That game effectively ended Purdue's season. If you can give up like that against IU, on your home floor, with a frenzied crowd (for maybe 15 minutes anyway), you don't deserve to wear the uniform. Getting smoked was one thing, Purdue isn't very good and when IU's on like they were they're a tier above everyone else in the country. But when you quit like that it's embarrassing. That game broke Purdue.

Honestly, I just hope the score doesn't get out of hand and something ugly happens.

Don't over-dramatize it--they've had plenty of games where they've been "broke" this year. Maybe one real good one, vs. VWU. The fact is they are not that good, effort or not.

There's no over-dramatization. Beat who they were supposed to beat before, smoked WVU who's exactly as good as this squad, handled Penn State rather easily. Gave OSU a game at least, smoked Nebraska on the road (that's a ****ing accomplishment this year), at least gave Michigan a tough 30 or so minutes. Then IU happened.

If the effort since the IU game is acceptable to you I don't know what to tell you. IU broke this team. I'm not going to try and find a silver lining or sugarcoat it or whatever just because IU fans will read this. It's not about W/L, it IS about effort. This team has been done with the season since the IU game. Painter included, despite him trying to save face by getting tossed in Champaign.

I don't give a **** how young this team is. This season is not accepetable.

Yes and if it's less than 15-20 I'll be slightly disappointed. No offense to our Boiler friends, but that is just how big the gap is between the two squads this year.

I won't. I'll be disappointed with a loss, happy with anything else. Every time we start getting cocky and feeling good about ourselves we **** the bed against an inferior opponent.
