i wish we did but, we do not look like a number one.
hollowell- i can't say anything positive about him tonight. he has been a drag.
sheehey has not added much either.
vic has played well- so there is that. zeller- eh, not terrible but not a player of the year good.

that hulls shot- i didn't like that. it reminds me too much of the bad shots danny/pg/hill take too often. that 'hey we just got past half court- time to chuck a 3'
but it did go in at least. but i still don't like those shots, you take those when a clock is winding down.

Sheehey and Hollowell playing like crap, and with Zeller sick we are far from 100%. But shows just how badly we need depth up front.

Give Georgetown credit for making shots. Give IU all the blame for missing FTs... headed to OT?

This is a fun game. Both teams giving it their all. This is why I watch college basketball.

Solid win against a very scrappy G'town team.

Well we beat a very good team, with our best player sick. And oh yeah, they just happened to be a matchup nightmare. Very good to see. Once we get our guys back from suspension this kind of game should be less of a problem for us. But great to see our guys play this kind of battle and get the valuable experience.

Now time to come back to Bloomington, refresh and get Zeller healthy. And work on our FTs

Perera can take Hollowell's minutes for sure

Quality win. Georgetown clearly should be ranked

Once the NCAA quits derping around and reinstates Jurkin and Perea, hopefully we won't have to play anymore zone D. I don't like playing zone D at any level of basketball. Just hate seeing teams get wide open looks.

Hollowell clearly has the skills, he just tries to push things. Hes trying to play as fast as the offense does when Hulls and Ferrell have the ball. But yeah if he can't calm down Perea should get his minutes. Although you can't completely remove him from the rotation, that could kill his confidence.

Would like us to take it to Ball State so he can get some PT. And if Perea and Jurkin are back it would be nice if they could get big minutes.

Zone D is like the prevent defense. It gets used WAYYYY too often and often in the wrong situation.

    My thoughts:

Solid win. G'Town is a top 25 team in my eyes. They are well coached and have some very solid players. I suspect they will be a top 25 mainstay this season.

Jordan Hulls absolutely saved us the past two games. That's what seniors do. My question: Who makes three pointers for us when he is gone next year? Who is our shooter? The kid epitomizes IU basketball.

Zeller is trying to force contact too much instead of trying to make field goals. Find a balance there--and for god's sake make the freebies.

Hollowell has been absolutely, positively awful the past two games.

Yogi is awesome, but he needs to look for his own shot more often. Too often does he beat someone off the dribble and then make a slow pass back out to the three point line. He will find his balance in time for Big Ten play and then he is going to be a nightmare for opponents.

Too many guys on this team are playing for their pro futures, and it's obvious. Watford earns a special tip of the cap for playing selfish, a-hole basketball in his attempts to prove he shouldn't spend his entire pro career in Greece. Sheehey is also forcing action too much. Oladipo and Zeller even have to a lesser extent.

Remy Abell is quickly becoming one of my favorite players on the team. He doesn't try to do too much, never takes stupid shots, and plays solid, fundamental basketball on both ends of the court. If we make a deep tournament run this year, he's going to play a key role.

We aren't running as much as we should. Push the tempo more. I don't want to see that bull **** offense where we pass the ball around the three point line five or six times before actually initiating our offense. You have four guys who can handle the ball reasonably well (Hulls, Ferrell, Abell, Oladipo)--RUN.

We miss Elston a lot right now. He was our X factor last year and we need him to reprise the role this year when he is healthy.

All in all, this was a solid win in a "neutral" environment against a good team. We have a lot of things to work on, but at the end of the day we didn't play our best and still won the game. That's what winning teams do.

Zeller has bronchitis. He'll be fine when that clears up.

I love watching this team. I would almost prefer they not be the #1 team with a target on their backs. You are going to get everybody's best game. Maybe that will be good for them down the road come tournament time. I seriously doubt they will stay #1 anyway. As long as they are playing like #1 at the end of the year.

They'll get as many minutes as Crean wants them to get. BSU is downright awful, and our front line is as thin as it can be. I'm pretty sure another forward went down with an injury earlier this week, and they were struggling to begin with. A 5th year sr, 4 year walk-on, starts at center.

Looks like Majok Majok has some talent, 6-8 JUCO transfer, and then there are two guards Scaife/Berry that have the ability to score from outside, but both are undersized two guards.

It will be ugly. I'll call it a moral victory if BSU scores 45.

And GU looked good last night, but hitting those 3s like that will make a lot of teams look really good. The probability of them repeating that performance is nil. Out of their 25fgs, 11 of them were 3s.
