So IU won the first appeal on Perea and Jurkin, they will be able to travel to NYC tonight and meet up with the team, but appeal on shortening 9 game suspension not til Friday. Oh well UNC is the game we could really use their size for though I would love to have them for tomorrow.
Even better news, Don Fischer reported and Peegs has confirmed that the appeal has been moved up to tomorrow. Now, if they win the appeal, I don't know if that means they could play against UCLA tomorrow night or not. But, it looks like we could have them for UNC if all goes well.

They would be able to play against our Tuesday opponent. I was wondering why we were going through all the trouble to get them to NYC.

Dang, Jordy is on fire this half. If he's not hitting a shot, he's taking a charge or making an assist.

Has the shooting been as bad as it looks statistically? Maybe the IU players watching the Pacers game last night caught some of their inept offense.

A lot of IU fans have clearly forgotten what good D looks like. Lots of whining about a game where we dominated defensively.

In fairness, that was a special breed of terrible offense from Georgia.

I don't know. Our defense was really strong. Especially Georgia was worse from the two than 3. We out rebounded by 14. I don't know what else you could want on D.

The folks who are panicking about the offense are really cracking me up.

The D was good. Still left a few too many 3s wide open. But good nonethless. Good to see when the offense struggles our D can pick us up.

    Is Cody still sick btw?

I know nobody wants to hear this, but who thinks we coasted through this game? Cause I do. Georgia is absolutely a flip the switch and beat these guys senseless team. All we had to do was play good offense for two minutes and we were up by 10. Only one guy played over 30 minutes tonight.

I think so. They showed him on the bench after playing about 3 minutes and he looked exhausted. He traveled three times tonight and on one of them he took two full steps before the ball even hit the floor. Worst game I've ever seen him play.

Probably part of it, another part of it was the foul trouble for sure. But if they were coasting lets hope they learned their lesson not to do that again.

What lesson was to be learned? It worked just fine. We won by double digits. Our D was brilliant, we pushed the pace offensively at the right moment. We didn't push the ball really at all in the first half. It's early, I don't think there's anything to be worked up about, unless you're really genuinely concerned about the offense, which to me would not make sense.

Cody looked sick to me. Just not the same expression, gave a good effort, but I think however he was feeling clealry took his mind out of the game a bit.

You should never coast through a game is the lesson to be learned. It worked this time. But a superior team coasting through a game is how we knocked off Kentucky last year. More often than not you can just flip that switch and win, but every once in awhile that switch doesn't get flipped soon enough. Not to dangerous during the regular season, disastrous if its tournament time.

Meh little difference between us and UK and UGA and us. Anyway, UGA scored one 2 point field goal final ten minutes. Pretty dang good for the boys. G'Town and UCLA both a little slow early too.

Still no excuse to coast through a game. Dominate early then rest the second half if you have the talent to do so. Much better than resting the first half and then hope to dominate the second.

Frankly Georgetown scares me more than UCLA.

...and Georgetown it is. If IU brings the defense they played tonight against the Hoyas, it should be a good result.
